It's everyone's favorite day...

... to hate.

It seems like no other holiday makes people surly and grumpy than does Valentine's Day. Personally, I've never had any strong feelings for the day one way or the other, but I can understand the frustration.

So why not make it a better day? Have a big, fluffy bunnyfox *hug*, do something nice for yourself no matter whether you're dating or single and take heart, 'cause after today it's another whole year before Valentine's rolls around again.

I honestly don't know why people get so worked up over it, it's just more of a reminder, it doesn't mean you per se have to do anything that day (tough it's advised xD) if you have someone, but for those that get bothered by it.. it's just a day like the week before or another after, if your single now so you where a day back right? (in most cases).

I mean I'm single and it doesn't bother me, yeah of course it's not fun but why would I have to treat this day differently lol.

Either way I enjoy the bunnyfox hugs, extra fluffy :D.

I can understand being frustrated over being single. Or, alternately, having to buy your SO something just because it's expected. But I don't see why people let it make them completely miserable.

'Course I'm not here to criticize people for how they feel about today. Just to try to make it a little better for everyone. And the best way for that is a big, fluffy *Hug* and I hope you have a wonderful day no matter what!

Yeah that, like it's understandable, yet it seems their freaking out like it's the worst thing ever or the end of the world. They make an elephant out of a fly really.

^^ true, everyone is different after all. And I think it's verry nice of you to do that, on the other hand you could argue it will only draw more attention to the topic, no way to please everyone :/.

Well of course Imma be in a sour mood today, do you not understand what I'm going through? I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE 24 HOURS BEFORE VALENTINE'S DAY CHOCOLATE GOES ON SALE OF COURSE I'M MAD!!!

Now there's a pain I can understand. I get pretty anxious each year waiting for Halloween candy to go on sale, myself, and I know the pain of being denied cut price holiday chocolates for another whole day!

Honestly, the only objection I have to it is that it was turned from an excuse for a couple to spend an extra day together to an over merchandised commercial nightmare, and too often a reason couples break up, because "Seriously? It's Valentine's Day and I'm only worth a dozen roses and a cheap box of chocolates to you?"

I got rejected today. Took all of the energy right out of me half way through my shift... I couldn't handle it :(
I finally got home and see this. I could use a hug, *hug* though I feel bitter as a bitter.

Used to dislike the day for reasons other than the fact it was Valentine's Day. Now I'm wanting to turn bitter feelings and bad memories into new ones.

Some valentine's for me. I had to work.
Didn't get home until 3 AM, so I missed a shot at the discount chocolate sales this morning.
Ah well, I need to cut back on sugar anyway. If I need a chocolate fix that badly, I get the unsweetened stuff from the baking aisle. :-9
