Dreams really do come true

So, I had a dream once, about veterinarians keeping prized racing geldings out to stud, long after they were cut.  How?

Kinda like this.  (Watch it first, then come back for more)

We can store the germline for endangered animals long after they die in zoos, while improving the life of testicular cancer patients everywhere!  Fuck "Richard the Lion-Hearted" - "Roger the Lion-Balled" could be a real thing!  XD

Also, there's this:  http://scienceblogs.com/retrospectacle/2007/06/05/scie...

I had a dream about storing race horse germlines in volunteers, once - you'd have to scrape out the septum, remove both testicles, and hook the blood supply from both human testicles up to the one, and it'd be … somewhat obvious.  But hey, what are strange dreams for?  :D

would probably be nice.  Guys who have had an accident and lost their testicles probably wouldn't mind having a pair of real horse testicles in their sacks.

A pair?  I think you'd have to scrape out the septum, and combine the blood flow from both testicular arteries to provide for just one horse ball, which fills all available volume.  :p

I mean, unless you've been aggressively preparing with years of saline infusions, you just won't have enough skin for two of those fuckers.

A balloon inflated inside the empty scrotum would eventually stretch it enough.  I think it'd be un.

That could also work, but I think the saline infusions would work better.  You don't need surgery to install the balloon, and you can stretch every night after work.  And you don't have to worry about the balloon bursting, too.

Saline would require regularly inserting a needle into the scrotum, which adds risk of infection.  The balloon would be a one time insertion/stitching, healing.  Both have their downsides.  Theoretically you could try vacuum pumping the scrotum, but that may draw fluid or tissue into it from other parts of the body, not sure how it would work with an empty scrotum.

The balloon would have to be injected regularly, as well, to expand it.  Also, you'd need a relatively expensive self-sealing silicone to make it, too.

Heard about things like this before. Not sure how far it went but at one time there was talk of trying to transplant the testicles of valuable studs that died onto less valuable animals

That's … actually really interesting.  I know they do some really interesting things in equine medicine, for example…
