The whole concept with "friends with benefits" is kinda funny if you think about it. I mean, here's a funny idea that just sometimes rings in my head;

There's 2 roommates who live together, boy and a girl, they fuck, have sex, all that, but wouldn't it be funny if like they're having sex in bed and it's over and they're lying in the bed and one of them goes like, "Oh by the way I forgot to pay the rent check", or "It's your turn to pay for this" and the other's like, "Damn it."

Then just like everyday roommate stuff.

I've been watching to much Friends.

Have surprise rough angry sex when you find out they've been secretly eating some of your groceries

See, that's why I find that kinda funny. I mean, a roommate who does that stuff, knows how to cheer you up, but you can also have sex with them.

That is until you decide you're on a break

Well keep in mind those two weren't living together when that happened. Trust me, I know, I have all 10 seasons and I've watched them alot. I'm watching it now.

Come to think of it, I have been getting fewer "benefits" since the Conservative government came to power - should've known, but I thought it only applied to the poor! :-|

Why bring politics into this.

Because that's what many think of as "benefits" in the UK, Canada, etc. It might be nice to get state-subsidised sex if you weren't getting enough, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I have no idea what you're talking about anymore.

… benefits? A word with multiple meanings, the one I was using being linked above.

Honestly I thought you were going that way too, since you mentioned paying for things.

You do know with the word "benefits" used in the context of my journal I only mean one meaning, you can't make it mean political benefits when it had nothing to do with my journal in the first place, unless you force it to be like that to express your opinion.

Right… but isn't that the point of comments? They're not for your benefit, but ours, to bend the conversation to our will - or to whatever we're interested in.

(For the record, I don't think I've ever watched a complete episode of Friends, although I did find the muffin-top segment hilarious. Simpsons was better.)
