Since in my comic Chaos has Sonic with AIDS, I had to research facts to make it believable. I just drew out the symptoms and how it develops. Then while working on a page, I got curious and went to do more research. I came across this:
In the early days of the epidemic, the answer would have been simple--and hard to take. After becoming infected with HIV, people could expect to get AIDS within about 10 years, and then live only 1 to 2 years more.
**SPOILERS FOR COMIC**
Sonic gets infected with HIV when he is 12-13 during his time as a bad person. Ten years later, at the age 23, he finally knows about it. It apparently developed as AIDS during his adventures as a hero. 2 years later, he finally starts getting symptoms, (fainting, coughing, coughing blood, and hallucinations) at the age of 25.
My mind was blown when I read this. I had been putting the same info into the comic without knowing. Coincidence anyone?
