I honestly enjoy them more in the original language. First because there are things that get lost in translation, and second, because of the music. The movies (And the anime too) have some amazing beats in the japanese dub... but the American (English) dub takes that away and changes with generic beats that fall flat.

i find it the opposite . i will use the second movie as an example. the music when team rocks sacrifices them selves and before that when they are trying to get ash to the orb. the English version music was so good and had more feeling to it it always brings a tear to my eyes. the Japanese one just did noting for me apart from the text when team rocket call ash the main character that was rather funny. but to each is own

I guess is different for every person... for me the original beats do impress me more, for example, take the song XYZ from the homonimus season, It's simply charged with more impact and punch than what The english version has. But as you said, to each is own.
