Whoo-Hoo! I Passed!

Welp, they finally came and inspected my apartment today. I managed to pass. In other news, I got a cavity fixed yesterday. I noticed the cavity last week and it's been agonizing since then. On Wednesday, I went and saw the dentist, but I didn't have an appointment; they were able to look at the tooth and tell me what I already knew (that I had a cavity), but were unable to drill on me. So on Thursday (yesterday) I went back. I'm usually terrified of the dentist since, for whatever reason, novacaine doesn't really work on me. However, what they injected me with was something called septocaine. That numbed me up enough for them to drill, and before I knew it, they'd successfully drilled the cavity and put a filling in. Yay!

There isn't much worse than tooth pain >.< It's good they were able to fix it easily!

A few years ago I randomly fractured my top right front tooth at the root; within 24 hours it was agonising, but I couldn't get it fixed until over a week later.  Tramadol was totally no help for the pain at all (and I had to have the unsubsidised foul-tasting drops, because I can't take tablets).  I had to have it drilled out, packed with medicinal stuff, a splint (a metal bar) put across to heal the fracture, then the root canal done.  The root canal later resulted in having two massive infections that made my face swell up a bit, and I had to have the tooth pulled, leaving me without the two top front teeth.  I still have that tooth; it's fascinating to look at, and see how much of the tooth was just filling.

I think I rambled a bit...  :p  The dentist I go to has students come every year from a university, so I can get dentistry done by them much more cheaply.
