Indeed, but no delete feature so it seems, lol.

Ten minutes after you post a reply here, the delete feature vanishes.

I know, but I didn't see it show up for me to get rid of that original reply. o-o

EDIT: Yes, the edit feature, but no "delete" option for me.  Probably you get the delete option when replying on your own journals and such, but maybe not on others'.

The Empire Strikes Back, The Dark Knight, Aliens, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Return of the King (including the superly duperly long-ass ending)....what do all of these movies have in common?  They are sequels which are just as good if not better than the movies they follow.

"But what about sequels to Disney films?  They had those fucking crummy Direct-to-Video sequels afterall."

That was before Lassetter took over. ;) And, guess what.  Bolt, The Princess and The Frog, and Tangled began a new era in Disney animation like never before.

"But what does Lassetter have to do with producing a good sequel?"

Toy Story 2 and 3.

"What about Cars 2?"

Ahem. >_> *holds my wand to your head as a threat* We shall never speak of Cars 2 ever again and pretend Cars 3 is the real sequel instead.  Okay?  OKAY?!?  Okay!  Good.

"O_O Yipes!  Okay, well, then what about Zootopia 2?  How can they top the original?"

How about instead of topping it, try logically CONTINUING it.  Instead of a buddy cop story, how about what Rich Moore said...

"It’s so weird because half the fans are like, ‘We love WildeHopps, and they need to get together and get married,’ and then there’s this other side that’s like, ‘No! They should not get together!'"

What if those were the attitudes held by Zootopian society, that prey and predator should NOT mix, that interspecies couples are highly frowned upon?  Once again, it would fit with the theme of starting conversations regarding bias, but instead of on a societal level, it would be on an interpersonal level.  I'm not sure if Howard and Moore will try another buddy cop story or something else, but what I do know the sequel needs is it DOES need to logically follow the first movie AND touch upon toxic attitudes people often have towards interracial relationships through the characters of Zootopia.  Nail those two things in the sequel, and you can write whatever the hell you want around it so long as it's 90%+ on Rotten Tomatoes good!

The Good, the Bad &The Ugly was meant to be a sequel? It was always my impression that the trio of films were simply produced ensemble style, with a set stable of actors playing different characters depending on the production. I've come to find out that Eli Wallach was the new face in that final film, based upon his work in How The West Was Won.
Also, The Empire Strikes Back isn't really a sequel. Like The Two Towers, it was the second act in a three-act play.

I wish I could like the last paragraph of your post there. That sounds like it could be a great plot for Zootopia 2! And I haven't even seen the first one....

They seem to have received a mandate from Disney to produce a rather lofty and advanced anthropomorphic film. If they aim to maintain that unusual, non-G-rating, non-derivative standard, and if they pull it off, then they score.
