First of all,I had the time of my life at Midwest Furfest, and totally can't wait for the next one! I met far too many awesome people that I could list out here, but suffice to say, it reaffirmed to me that this is an excellent community.
Going along with that, the convention had been pretty much my only time off in the last three months. I'd been keeping with Starbucks (paired with my lucrative career with Motorola) to keep my employee discount while picking up a little side money. However, the few extra dollars every two weeks wasn't balancing out my lack of free time. Plus, if anyone needs coverage at Motorola, one spare shift ends up paying more than three full weeks of working at Starbucks...
And so,last Sunday was my final day with the company, after about a decade since my original hiring. This means I have actual days off again! This means I'll finally be able to work on those commissions I picked up right before MFF. My apologies for the delay! I didn't think a 60 hour work week would impact my drawing time...
In other news, I have a roommate moving in to my apartment next weekend (new coworker at Motorola). This will impact my drawing in no way, since said coworker is also a fan of cub nudity~
And for those wondering about the status of my Games Done Leisurely donation drive, it's beong delayed for all the above reasons. No biggie, though, since this spaces out the time much more evenly (since I'm not at the whim of Japan's school schedule). I've got a few games already in mind, including a possible co-op event with
