Welcome to the new year.

For those who are in the know, I have been working on converting a story for

to ePub format, along with working on some of my own stories.
I moved late last year to a new place, which saw me put that on the back burner, with a plan to return to working on it as the new year starts.

I'd like to take a moment and say that icy sidewalks suck. I'm right-handed, and managed to hit an invisible patch of ice a couple of days ago. This saw me hit the sidewalk on my right hand, to which I've done some damage that hasn't been defined as of yet. We're waiting on x-rays to come back, on which I do hope there hasn't been a fracture, but the way it hurts has me thinking otherwise. I'm a lot of body to support on a wrist, and the way I hit the ground has us checking to see if I have fractured or broken something in that hand.

As such, I have to delay working on stuff even more, unless I try to do much of it from my tablet, where I can reach more keys with one hand.

Whoops.

Same here! Hospital was useless the day of the fall, but I think it's from the sheer number of people they were seeing and turning beds over for. I only went to that hospital as Urgent Care was so over capacity that they stopped taking in new people two hours before they closed, and were diverting people to the nearby hospital.

I was able to get in to see a doctor at my normal clinic the next day, and said doc was surprised that no imaging had been done on my hand at all. (I also got lectured about a few other things, but they were relevant to the issue, heh.)

In the interim, I just got snow and ice cleats in the mail.
