New year's update

Hey there! It's been half a year since I last posted a journal entry, so I thought I would let you all know what I've been up to.

I’ve probably mentioned before that my preferred way of working is to have several stories in progress at the same time. That way, if I get stuck on one of them, or if I just need a change of pace, I can work on a different one. This process seems to maximize my productivity, because although it means that any given story tends to get written slowly, I'm producing something on a regular basis.

The number of stories that I have in progress at any given moment has slowly crept upward over time. Back in mid-October, I counted them up and discovered that I had 25 stories in progress. I decided that this was too much, and that I would not begin any new stories until I cleared at least a few of the existing ones off the board.

Since then, I have managed to complete four stories. Two of these were Halloween-themed short stories: “Polled,” a horror story about a call from a political pollster that takes an eerie turn; and “Just Doin’ What We Do,” a story about a children's Halloween party that ultimately turns into an orgy. (I won't spoil the story by explaining why, but let's just say that folks here at IB might find this story particularly to their liking. :-) )

The other two stories I completed were multi-chapter pieces:
--A Phineas and Ferb fanfic titled "Dark Dreams, Forbidden Fantasies," in which four members of the Flynn-Fletcher family experience shared dreams in which they get in touch with their suppressed incestuous desires.
--"Comfort and Joy," the third and final story in a trilogy of holiday-themed incest stories (which begins with the Valentine's Day-themed "Some Girl" and continues with the Fourth of July story "Fireworks").

If you're noticing a paucity of furry stories in this list, fear not: I've got several in the works, including more chapters of "Country Summer." I hope you'll stay tuned!
