Hiya everybody! Who's ready for the New Year???
Well, it's been a week since the passing of my second Grandfather. Real shame it had to happen just before Xmas. We were hoping for him to last at least until after. But I digress.....We made the best of the holiday, and are doing the best we can with it's effects on the family. There are still quite some hurdles to go through, but overall we are doing fine.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your wishes and blessings. I really appreciate it. ^_^
In other news, I received a nice set of gifts to enjoy. The one that's grabbed hold of my free time now being Pokemon Sun & Moon. What? Like you DIDN'T see that coming? XD Of course figuring out a set team of 6 to settle with is proving most difficult so far. There's just too many possibilities! But as of late, my Sun team so far is looking promising (after at least 5 hard decisions to 'box' a certain few):
Jade the Decidueye: Yeah, like I'm sure plenty of you out there have done, I considered some more obvious nicknames like 'Robin Hood', 'Green Arrow', and 'Hawkeye'. But as mine turned out to be female, had to think outside the box and went with something more simple, yet feminine. ^_^
Puka the Pikachu: 'Nuff said for the name. You know EXACTLY what I'm talkin' about.
Duchess the Persian: Female Meowth to start, so needed a classy name. Unconscious Disney reference? Maybe....
Skidi Pawnee the Mudsdale: Name inspired by the classic children's book 'The Mud Pony'.
Temptress the Salandit: Soon to become a Salazzle. 'Nuff said for the name.
Whirly the Poliwhirl: Just gotten no more than an hour ago from an in-game trade. Had yet to find a compatible Water Type to have in the crew, so going with it for now. Who knows? Could be a valuable asset once becoming Poliwrath.
In other news, New Year in just 2 days. Am I ready? Honestly, I'm not sure. So many things ahead, and yet still wish even more would come. But just shows I need to continue to step up my game in a large number of aspects and endeavors. So time to slap myself up a bit, and get my act together. The past few years haven't gone very far, but one future is bound to lead somewhere with determination and will to change things up.
