and my other roommate and literally said "This dude has a stuttering problem come watch him count my money" Then ran back to the counter with them staring dead pan at him for like 10 minutes watching him count it in his head (Huge Let down) instead.

It is not an ugly word, it is not a hateful word. It an acceptance that nothing in life is perfect, not yourself or another. and to derive pleasure from a terrible defect or misfortune on another is bringing to light a otherwise unseen happiness. Obviously you couldent share this with the person involved but it's a nice sorta thing.
Like when you are in the parking lot and you see a person drop a gallon of milk only for it to bust and spread out everywhere. You might smile and find a place to giggle it out, not because you are an evil person but because bad things have happened to you.
Any pleasure you find in any avenue that does not directly harm or hinder another is perfectly fine and healthy. Enjoy life and damn the restrictions or limits anyone attempts to place on your headspace.
