Limited Access to Internet Again.

My aunt's modem is saying "Upgrading" and has said this for the past four days. My computer is saying "Windows got no response from wireless device."

So, any solutions? Did I fuck something up? Let me know because I's a dumb squir.

Hmm... if it's one that was supplied by the ISP, your best bet is probably going to be to call them and get them to figure out what's wrong with it (or replace it).

If it's not an ISP-supplied modem, if you can say what the make and model of it is, I might be able to find something. Maybe. :/

You might see if power-cycling the modem helps (unplug the modem from everything, wait 30 seconds, then plug everything back in the way you found it), but anything more complicated than that I'd get the ISP to diagnose it.

Hm, do you know if any other devices can connect to the internet over the same WiFi connection you're using?

Not yet, but my aunt just got a tablet for Christmas, so there will be a test in that regard. We will see if the modem needs to be unplugged etc.

It wasn't. Had to get my brother-in-law in to change all the security settings. I don't understand what happened there.

For now; need to resolve this cash flow problem. Get my own internet back. $100 a month is too much for what I use it for.

unplug both, wait a couple minutes and see if that works.

If that doesn't work, open window and throw it out until it decides to work.

Oh, I also saw a story about squirrels decimating Christmas in a Canadian town due to them attacking the Christmas lighting displays power wires.

You check the wires? :)
