Quandary: where to post things

I have about 3500 "furry" images on my hard disk, and in many cases I have no idea who drew them. There are some that I find exceptionally "hot", and I would like to contact the artists with an eye toward commissioning a cover for my stories "Whatever Rhonda Wants" and "Whatever Russell Wants". But I've run into a problem:

Some sites (like inkbunny) will allow you to post drawings with cubs in sexual situations, but those sites won't allow you to post an image unless you have rights to the image -- either the artist or the person for whom it was drawn.

Other sites (like fchan) will allow you to post images you don't own, but do not allow cubs in sexual situations.

I suppose I could go to 4chan's /b section, where almost anything goes. But I suspect there aren't enough furry fans there to give much of a chance of identifying the artists.

Does anybody know of a place where I can post these images -- solely for the purpose of finding out who drew them so I can commission additional works by that artist? It has to be a site that allows "cubby art" and also does not have a restriction on ownership.

I would suggest putting them in a secure server, such as Dropbox, and link to the images with a request for artist info. Unfortunately, this is a viable idea for a few pics, but the sheer volume of yours makes it a major undertaking.

Oh, I wouldn't post all 3000+ images. Maybe 10 or 20 of the hottest ones, the ones that make me think, "I'd like to have the cover drawn by this artist."

Well, if you get them up somewhere I'll certainly help if I can.

Once I've chosen the best candidates, I'll put them up on my own website and publish a link. Thanks for the suggestions.

Have you ever tried doing a google "search by image" search? images.google.com  click on the "search by image" button next to the spyglass symbol and dump the image from your PC into it. It can take some time to sift through the results but more often than not if the artist is still on the internet this will lead you to them. You won't run into any odd problems like having to worry if a piece of art is postable on a site or whatnot, and sometimes you'll run into the picture posted on a site such as e621.net with the artist tagged on the picture's post via that site.

It's helped me a bunch of times, hopefully it works for you, too. Good luck!

I have posted the story. I hope at least some people will be pleased.
