Shortly before the doomsday event that was the election, up sprouted rumors about a conspiracy now called Pizzagate involving, who else, Hillary Clinton.
Honestly I've seen so many of these baseless conspiracies surrounding Clinton promoted and screeched about from the right wing in general, alt. or otherwise, most of which rehash the same shit over and over again, I almost can't tell them apart these days.
So Pizzagate is some conspiracy that the owner of a pizza place and Hillary Clinton are part of some child sex trafficking ring. This isn't the first time this kind of conspiracy libel has popped up surrounding Hillary; she's been dealing with this shit for most of her political career. (And this isn't even a full list)
But this shit is getting out of control. A few days ago, a vigilante went to the alleged pizza place armed with an assault rifle and, if reports are correct, managed to fire off at least one shot before he was arrested by police. THANK GOD he didn't actually shoot anybody.
This time.
But these stories pop up like wildfire, and there are dedicated media sites that regularly churn out or promote shit pieces like this as the gospel truth, including but not limited to Breitbart, InfoWars, and Project Veritas. InfoWars and their founder and mouthpiece Alex Jones promoted this conspiracy with the same firebrand fervor he always possesses and ran that horse far off into the galactic horizon.
Supposedly he started backpedaling on this story after the vigilante was arrested. I can't find any real proof that he did, but IF he did, why?
If you don't know much about Alex Jones, in short he promotes every possible conspiracy that exists, including the ones he makes up himself. These conspiracies usually involve pedophilia and child sex trafficking, along with drugs and secret genocide and FEMA Camps. If they're about him, it's about how he narrowly escaped being killed by secret government agents. And as far as I'm aware, he has never ONCE backed down from any of them. The only thing that changes is the conspiracy itself into something deeper and grander, ultimately tying back into the same big names like the Bilderbergs and Illuminati and Freemasons a bunch of other secret society buzzword bullshit to get the tinheads that subscribe to his crap to undulate with delusional "revelation".
A few years ago, something happened that caused the right wing, a group of delusional assholes in power, came into contact with the conspiracy fringe, a group of delusional assholes NOT in power. Something clicked, and like a match made in Heaven, they combined.
They combined HARD.
The end result is this alt. right that people are familiar with these days. Delusional assholes who subscribe to every conspiracy promoted, who believe in white supremacy and killing or deporting everyone with even the slightest difference in skin pigment or who might have a slightly weird name.
And they're the ones the Entropy is bringing into the highest echelons of power in this country.
While still promoting dangerous, baseless, inflammatory conspiracy theories.
But many more remain, like, for example, the lamb's father, who is also on the Entropy's transition team, and the Entropy himself, who both cavalierly promoted the exact same conspiracy theory
But honestly, people have gotten hurt in the past regarding inflammatory conspiracies. And killed. Several infamous mass shooters these past few years, who have been damnatio memoriae'd for their actions, believed in similar bullshit. Now regardless of what the media does, these people will still exist, but the inflammatory conspiracies incite the lunatic fringe into action by promoting vigilantism.
By inciting people who are the most disturbed into effectively playing the role of Batman.
Batman with a gun, with delusions of grandeur and no connection with reality.
Now, this won't stop all nutjobs. Reagan's would-be assassin, who was obsessed with and stalked Jodie Foster and thought he was Travis Bickle in the movie Taxi Driver, didn't get his delusions from anywhere. He was going to happen regardless. But that doesn't count all the other nutjobs out there who believe wholeheartedly in the fringe conspiracies, who read the Pizzagate story and might be inspired to storm the place guns blazing. The next one could be far worse.
FAR WORSE.
We need to start fighting back against this malinformation industry before more people get killed. More importantly than that, before the Entropy, who subscribes almost exclusively to that dreck for information, is inspired to go to war against a country or group of people founded on nothing but lies and some deranged asshole's fantasies.
I myself have experienced this in the past. Back in 2006, I was arrested on suspicion of terrorism and plotting to shoot and blow up a school. Founded on nothing but anonymous claims people made. At the time, I was still recovering mentally and physically from injuries incurred at a previous school, when I had my head smashed in by another student and my life threatened by multiple people before I was removed for my safety. By my last year of high school, I was done. I wanted out, and I wanted to graduate with grades good enough that no one would ever question me or make me go through that nightmare again.
I didn't talk to anyone. I didn't associate with anyone. I didn't even eat lunch. I just focused on my schoolwork, determined like none other to get the hell out whatever the cost.
Then I get dragged into the security office one day on claims that I was plotting to blow up the school. I was searched multiple times by multiple people, until it was determined that the only thing I carried were books. I was let go, by which point the next period began, so I head to my next scheduled class. I thought it was over.
Then a security guard storms into the room and fabricates an insane story that I somehow broke out of their custody and headed directly to my hidden weapons cache I had on the school grounds. I get cuffed and searched again, but to no avail.
No proof, no evidence, no witnesses. Nothing to tie reality to the fanfiction someone created, and as I found out very quickly, no one who made the claims could be found or even identified.
I was expelled, and sent to a much smaller school filled with people who were arrested for actually having committed crimes. The smaller and focused environment would be a better place for people to keep tabs on me while I finished the last of my schoolwork.
Less than five months later, the Virginia Tech Shooting happened. Because I was a loner who barely told anyone so much as my name, rumors began to spread once again about me in the wake of the shooting. I immediately went to the principal again and told him my story and insisted that he put a stop to the rumors before something bad happened to me.
He listened, and I was able to complete high school without any further interference. But either time, something really bad could have happened to me. The school administration the first time around was not keen on listening to a single word I said, instead more than willing, perhaps even desperate, to believe in the bullshit claims, despite all the evidence that is reality itself proving the claims were one million percent baseless. It's a miracle and a half that I'm still here today, all things considered.
And that same dissonance with reality is what we now contend with on a national and perhaps even global scale. People are beyond desperate to believe in bullshit, and people who peddle this stuff for a living are now moving up into the highest echelons of power.
We need to stop them.
We need to stamp down on all the lies put forward by the lunatic fringe before they spiral out of control.
We need to fact check EVERYTHING to make sure it's real, and reform the mainstream media so they don't try to run away with click bait and give bullshit more credence.
Most importantly, we need to reform what we perceive as the First Amendment to deliver harsh penalties to anyone who makes inflammatory baseless claims like this that threatens the safety and security of groups and individuals. The First Amendment has limitations; you can't yell fire in a crowded theater. Trying to single out individuals with baseless, inflammatory claims like these is the Salem Witch Trials of this generation, and if we let it fester, a lot of innocent people are going to get killed.

I redacted our president elect's name from my vocabulary. Around the same time last year, I redacted his name from my vocabulary and called him the Anathema. I've fallen into the classic trap of believing what you want to believe about your opponent and how they work, rather than what they actually are.
