More news about the car...

Just got back from getting the Focus turned into the repair shop and there is some bad news.

Bad news....
Had to tap into power and insurance funds in order to get 4 days for the car rental. I have to recoup those funds ASAP as well as get the needed funds for the remaining 2-3 weeks for the car rental if the Focus is not totaled. We won't know if the car will be totaled until either this Wednesday, Friday or next Monday. If it is determined that the Focus will be totaled, we have something in mind to replace the car.

As stated, any and all help that is provided will be greatly appreciated and paid forward. For those who are curious about the damage to the car here it is...

* Right front wheel is knocked back about 2"
* both tie rods have a 5-10 degree bend, the right bent towards the nose of the car and the left bent towards the rear. * Power steering is nonexistent
* Power steering resevior, coolant resevior, windshield resevior and brake fluid resevior leaking
* Upper right control arm is bent
* Right front suspension broken
* Frame possibly bent in two locations
* Right axle may be shot
There is more issues that can't be seen until the car is fully inspected prior to getting worked on.

I had a couple more mechanics look at the car and this is what I was told...

The right side tie rod is bent out, the left side tie rod is bent back, all fluid lines are leaking, power steering is non-existent, the frame may be bent two ways and other damage that can't be seen with a casual inspection and that is not counting cosmetic damage to the body. The overall damage very well may result in the car getting totaled. The car is a 201 Ford Focus and it has over 149,000 miles on it.
