Happy Bday to Me

It's funny, I can remember thinking how ancient 35 was & how I'd never be THAT old. Ew.

Today I pass officially into middle age at 46. And I still feel young at heart. Now 35 is pups, 65 doesn't look too damn bad.

I find that it's less the age and more of the affect that life has on you over time... If you can avoid that. You've got something.

I've had quite the opposite. Life has beat the hell out of me. I've been to the extreme ends of despair & nothingness. And I guess that's why I've learned to appreciate & value every single day. Makes life so much more awesome when you know what the bottom looks like.

Had that, too. Military followed by imprisonment. Not good for you. Top that off with homelessness & 2 years of physical abuse before I figured out how to grow a pair & kick ass back. All in all, it's been an awesome ride so far!
