Holiday BS and my bad habits (writes delayed)

I will try to have something new soon, and indeed I've been working on a few things. however I do want to mention the reasons I have been slow.

First, like every other college educated 'millennial' I know, I work retail. As a result things have been chaotic.

Second, apparently I have horrible habits about saving my work. I thought I'd saved 4K on a story for Mary's series and while it needed a heavy rewrite it was still mostly worthwhile.

And now it's gone because Windows 10 is buggy and crashes/restarts alot.

And because I often forget to save.

I don't know if 3-6K is alot or a little for a single writing session but I will often do about that then forget to save or think I have saved when I have not. Sufficed to say the document does not always end up in temp where I would hope it might in those scenarios.

So expect stories soon. Just need to get past seasonal BS a bit to do so. Sorry to whatever readership I have.

Stuff goes up when it goes up. I can understand the retail thing, I just got a new job, 40+ hours a week in a call center. So focused on that everything else in my life has fallen on the side. You do you, boo. Get things done, and your readers will always be around to devour your content. ;)

n.n Thank you very much.

I've gone though periods where I haven't written for over a year before though and since writing is largely all I have left, I really don't want to hit that point again.

Also a bit miffed that I lost the work even if most of it would have to be scrapped.

psh.. writing is all you have left.. You have fans, right? we count for something eh? ;)

Know that your readers are here, we're patient, and quality is better then quantity.

Loosing work happens, computers are fickle things, but the story is still in your head, it'll get back on the page, and things will continue. "A minor setback" and all that. I "am" glad to see you writing though, I have enjoyed what I've read so far. You do fantastic work.

Well thank you. hopefully some more tomorrow will pop up, or Monday. Depends on how hard it is to go forward.

6,000 is a good chunk, yeah. Often times that's about enough for internet traffic since a lot of people on sites like this don't have an attention span better than looking at a picture for 5 seconds and deciding whether they like it or not. Been there.

You can always write an AutoHotkey script to auto-save for you. That's what I did. If the window of your word processor is on top, loop send ctrl+s, sleep 6000 (wait one minute). It's awesome.

That may be a good idea, Though I should be pushing myself to do a better job too. I'm already a major scatterbrain.
