Yeah, that was back in '87 and it happened to a couple of channels in Chicago.

I actually never realized those airwave abductions were based on a TV character until after I watchec The Gaming Historians video on the creation of the Super Mario Bros movie where the creator of the tv movie had a hand in working on the SMBM
