Hey, It's not the end of the world

This is the obligatory "/pol/itical journal on the USA elections"
No, I will not say who I voted for
No, I don't entirely like either person
No, I don't think either of them are good for the job

That said, Trump won, get over it.

To the people saying he'll usher in WW3; Stop. What is fear mongering going to do? It didn't stop him from winning, it won't do any good, all it'll do is cause problems for everyone.

To the people rioting; Stop. You're undermining the very democratic election that you all were loving a week ago. You're going to make people look down on democrats as a whole, stop.

To the people writing petitions to force Trump out and shove Hillary in; Stop. You're undermining democracy as a whole, and you're trying to say that the election doesn't even matter. Worse, you'd set a precedent for an even worse candidate to force their way in. Stop making things worse.

To the people digging the salt mines and breaking off friendships; Stop. You'll regret that later when you realize he's not even in office yet. You're ruining a friendship for no reason other than the person you wanted didn't get elected.

To the people peacefully protesting; Continue, please. It's people like you, the people who can show everyone that not all of Hillary's voterbase is violent or disgustingly vile, that are wonderful for America as a whole. Once more, thank you.

To the people with a hopeful outlook that this isn't as bad as people say; Thank you. You are the level heads in this tipsy-turvy election. Don't be afraid to be angry when he does something you dislike though, just remember to keep a level head about it.

To the people who voted for Trump; Remember that you voted for him. If he does well, then rejoice and exclaim you did the right thing. If he fails, then think about what he failed to do. Think about it and remember to keep an eye out for future politicians who say the same things. Be vigilant, be proud, be thoughtful.

And finally, to the people who didn't give enough of a shit to vote; You can't complain about how Hillary lost. You can't say things like "Make America hate again." You didn't vote against him.

Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.

I couldn't stand either of them, they're both terrible candidates.

While I may not want him as my president (I also didn't want her either), I've already accepted that he's won under the current system we have in effect. I can't stand these riots, they only make the people opposing him (such as myself) look as bad as they claim his supporters are. As for this being democratic, I'll have to kindly disagree, Shillary won the popular vote. Trump won the electoral college, a system that even he said is against our very democracy. But under that system that we will probably continue to have for many years to come, he has won.

At least with Trump we'll potentially have an alliance with Russia instead of WWIII with them. So I guess there's always that bright side.

Very well said!

Nice to see more rational fuzzy wuzzies around.

So many people avoid talking politics that the people that do care about politics ran them the fuck over so they have no one to blame but themselves.

It's the end of the world as we know it. That's surely bad enough!  >_>;
I voted for Remain, and I didn't get that either. Brexit sucks, and it hasn't even happened yet…

The good news about Brexit, is that there's a chance it's great
The bad news is that it might fail and suck

Thus the glory of political actions has come to be.
