Annnd we are all dead.

Sorry but my countrymen have doomed us all. Trump WILL start a war. Maybe with Putin. Maybe with Xi, Maybe with our current allies. It will end with the US getting hit with nuclear weapons, and then a MAD scenario all over the globe.

To anyone living outside the US, I am sorry. You guys are going to die because a bunch of racists and people who can't figure out that you can't just magically fix the system by voting in an idiot refuse to see logic.

Fortunately, or sadly, you guys may even get a few months first. And if we are lucky they will hit Yellowstone early, and it will just be quick for everyone.

Thanks alot, my fellow Americans.

Though I highly doubt war, relationships are going to deteriorate quickly. And the country's trajectory is going to be screwed for the next decade.

I think that's optimistic, though I can never fully fault optimism. Trump will either be a good lapdog for Putin and draw in the GOP winners to side with Russia, thus making the US a threat to the world. Or piddle in Putins lap and push things up to a nuclear exchange.

And decade is a very hopeful estimate sadly. It took us nearly that to simply start repairing the Bush Era damage and that was with a far more respectable candidate with greater intellect and some impressive foreign policy chops we didn't expect him to have. Granted he was blocked for most of his term but...

yeah. At this point I'd say flee to Canada or other nations if you can. But I don't know that it will help when the bombs drop.

We were so close to Mars too...

Honestly, we're all doomed since birth.

Might as well watch where the crazy roller coaster of life takes us, you know. Who knows what will happen. But freaking out just because X became Y is just gonna add to stress, and make your life shorter.

As for Trump, he made a lot of high-ball promises. And I'd figure if he doesn't keep his word, his supporters will turn on him like a bunch of sharks.

TL;DR we're actually that close to complete Anarchy. But for the time being, just sit and watch, try not to let it stress you out; okay?

I do appreciate the thought but, well. It's a bit too late for that, far too late.

Even before my Diana died, I was suicidal, and this has not helped things. I'm not worried for myself really. But I am just so brokenly ashamed of my nation and fearful for my loved ones. Who are honestly the only thing keeping me on this ball of dirt.

I freak out over everything too, literally all the time. Which is frustrating because it feels like I am overblowing things. But, well. I don't think I am. I genuinely do think we are going to see something akin to Nazi Germany or, worse (possibly) the end of our species from nuclear arms.

I know it sounds like alot of doom-saying. But it is impossible to just ignore.

Which is not me trying to dismiss you. I really want to stress that because i seriously do appreciate it. I just... well... I don't see this ending in any way other than fascism and/or death, and I don't see fleeing as an option.

regardless of who won, just remember that there are a lot of checks and balances in the system.
Try not to overthink it. People were like this back during 2008 as well, and 2000. People get scared because "Oh god, this new president is the devil" and blow it out of proportion.

Just calm down, take a deep breath; and have some faith in the people around you; and not the people in office. the people you surround yourself with are much better.

I am not ashamed of my country. I am ashamed of the corruption in the government, the millions of dollars they pay themselves, the lies they cover up and the debt they've created. I am ashamed in a majority of the people in my country, who see things only in black and white. Some things need to revert, and others to progress. We need to bond together to create a better future, but humanity is full of petty problems... judging others on small things.

I would like to hope some positive things will come out of Trump's presidency. even if it's something as small as an idea that will be looked upon 20 years from now and put into place, after all the old policies have been repealed and/or dismissed.

As for Fascism? Who knows. What I do see is the beginning of anarchy here in the states. I do not wish for an Orwellian state, but I believe that Order is a much needed necessity. But proper order, and not via tyranny or dictatorship.

but the bottom line:
We will get through this, Together.
All of us. But only if we have faith in one another, and not a broken set of political parties.

Maybe that's my main problem. I genuinely lack faith in humanity.

I'm not saying I am somehow inherently better. I hate myself too. But I trust myself to either do a simple task/grasp a simple concept or know that I cannot do the task. I don't trust people by and large to get that... or anything else... until I see solid proof.

I do genuinely, and I do mean genuinely, appreciate the thought, the effort, the sentiment. I just... I don't have any of that in me any more. Much of it I never did. I don't think there will be a 20 years from now. Not that I was too sure there would be for me. I'm basically hanging on until one or two specific friends die and then bailing. But it's just... it's all crumbling. it is all just so twisted and wrong and I can't stand the thought of people suffering.

I hate them. Absolutely hate people. I do. I don't trust them, I don't like them, I always expect the worst from them. But I don't want them to hurt. I don't want them to suffer and god damn it they are goign to for this. In the US out of the US.

Diana was basically one of the few things in life keeping me somewhat near sane, keeping me thinking there was a future for me. But I never for a moment thought that there would be a point where I worried there was no future in general. And... yeah that is my worry now. Or if there is, that it is a dark one. One where civil war and subsequent conquest by Russia and China not only of the US but the world is possible. Or nuclear death, or any number of things.

And for me... I don't care. I don't matter. My life means very little to me. But god damn it why do people have to set things up this way? Why does it have to be this way?

I appreciate the effort. I just don't have any light in me. Not for a long long time.

Well, hey... no matter what; there's always gonna be someone there for you. whether it's IRL or online.
So don't write humanity off just yet. And I know I can't really call myself a friend or anything like that, but I've always offered to help other people... even if it's just as simple as lending an ear or giving a hug.

I don't know much about you, your past, or Diana. but what I do know is that you've got a gentle heart, even if it's a bit broken. And I'll be damned if I can't do something helpful.

Honestly I can appreciate and respect anyone who is offering a shred of hope in times like these, even if and when I do disagree. Just because I generally write humanity off as horrible monsters bent on selfish ends and ignorance does not mean I will ignore those bright spots. Though... yeah. I kinda wrote humanity off back when i was a kid. But it's always nice to see the exceptions.

I want to say thank you, because really I don't' know what else to day. Your words are very kind and they have helped make this whole thing just a tiny bit better.

From where i'm standing Hillary had even bigger chances to start the war, so we were kinda fucked even before the actual US election results.

Also, Yellowstone would be quick for some number of the states of US, but NOT quick for the rest of the world. If the nuke would even get it to erupt of course.

My understanding is it would take out at least a hemisphere in minutes. Not great, but compared to the alternatives it could be worse. Granted it's a bad scenario all around.

And, I really don't get why she is seen as a war monger. The MIC and proxy wars have been a thing for over half a century at least. They are a sad reality, but a reality and they won't stop with Trump. The only difference is that he will either try cozying up to Putin and alienating Nato ruining that delicate balance of power or freak out when Putin does not give him the respect he thinks he deserves and start something stupid because Trump has thinner skin than taylor swift.
