This is what he told me today: 12:17 D'mi i need $700~ by my surgery 12:17 D'mi to cover my phonebill, two preorders, credit card bill, insurance 12:18 D'mi and that's if my flatmate pays the full rent the entire time i'm on recovery 12:20 D'mi and that's without accounting for any money to actually 12:20 D'mi yknow 12:20 D'mi spend on myself in those two months 12:22 D'mi and not including the fact i have an account in debt atm 12:23 D'mi and i still need to pay rent and insurance and phonebill in the next four weeks.
As you can see his situation isn't that great. And the phone is pretty important since he now, before the surgery, has a minor job. A job that's not giving him enough hours to cover the expenses he right now has.
It'd be great if we could break the $700 mark and maybe get over $1000. It should help him a lot. He also says he's very willing to write to anyone who donates something as a thanks. And hey, if you do donate to him, I'll sketch you your OC or your favorite character from any series!
