Patreon Changes and Commissions Opening January 2017

Hello all!

I want to thank all of you for showing support to me through Patreon through 2016. It's been a great learning experience! One major point I've learned, is commissions and rewards shouldn't be the same thing.

What I will be doing at the end of "November" is toning down the Patreon rewards so that I can open commissions. What does this mean? October's Rewards will be redeemable in November as per usual, however at the end of November there will no longer be "Full color 2 character", "Full color Single character", and "Inked Single character" rewards available via my Patreon.

These changes reflect what I've learned through 2016. Patreon is a means to keep a project going, that project being my comics.

Plans for the remainder of 2016 below:

October 24 - October 31:
Things will move along as usual. Rewards of $100, $60, $20 will be distributed during Picarto.tv/kuroodod streams as usual for those who have yet to receive their rewards for being charged on October 1st. There are roughly 5 of you left.

November 1 - November 30:

Patrons charged on the 1st of November will be able to redeem rewards for the entire month. With no changes to the current system in place. That's anyone donating $100, $60, $20.

However, after all rewards are distributed to patrons, I will edit the rewards section to reflect what will be happening moving forward. During this time I will notify everyone again that rewards, that would otherwise be considered commissions, will no longer be distributed after November. Patrons will be reminded on multiple occasions before the next charge period of December 1st to "CHANGE YOUR DONATION AMOUNT TO REFLECT THE NEW REWARD TIER BEFORE DECEMBER 1st!"

December 1 - December 31:
By this time I will have notified everyone currently supporting of the changes and make sure everyone is well aware that commission like rewards are no longer available. Rewards will be changed to $1, $2, $5, and $10 reward tiers during this time. And will remain as such through 2017.

Final Notes:

But Kuro? Why such drastic changes on your Patreon?
Patreon has been good to me for the most part. But it's not meant to be used how I've been using it. I know people despise paywalls. But that was not my intention. This Patreon from now on will reflect that.

Continue contributing to support the continuation of Oversexed Eeveelutions and other future comics. But know that Patreon is not the only way to help out.
I'm going to continue Oversexed Eeveelutions regardless if it's bringing me cash or not. I love making it. But I will admit, it makes it much more possible to get it out the pipe every Monday when I've got support. Both mentally and financially.

Alrighty! This has been long winded, but I feel this needed to be done. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to shoot me a message in a note, pm, or in the comments.

I will be opening for commissions January 2017. Thank you for reading!

It's honestly up to the artist how they do business, but if more artists who found that the way they do Patreon isn't working for them in particular would try to find changes that work like you, and less artists would pin the blame on their followers for "being selfish and entitled and refusing to give me money", that would be great. Good on you for at least being logical rather than noisy, either way.

Yeah, I don't like paywalls for content that is otherwise at least free to view. But as long as the artist is either successful in it or accepting any possible lack of success, not much I can really complain about. Unfortunately Patreon as a paywall wound up just being another bandwagon that many failed to realize doesn't work without enough people enamored enough with their work that they'll pay just to see it like a high society museum.
