(Oooh, first journal here! Le fancy!)
Hey all! So, I’m apparently terrible at informing others about what’s going on with me. I guess I don’t like to feel egotistical or anything, but sometimes I gotta share a little to explain why I get into occasional dry spells.
Firstly, I -have- been writing. I actually have a couple different stories in the wings that I haven’t shared for one reason or another. One’s about a troll mother and her son, another’s about a draenei uncle and his niece, and I’m still tapping away at Drenan’s Folly. Now, the reasons for not sharing the former two involve ages, and I have concerns about what inkbunny might think about draenei and trolls, and I’m uncertain of whether or not they’ll be considered acceptable. I’d hate to post and have it either taken down or be banned, but I may take the risk anyway. The draenei story may be a long-runner like Drenan’s is.
Secondly, about a week and a half ago I… *ahem* overexerted myself while… ‘working out’ with m’lady, and as a result I’ve had an extremely sore neck since then that has regrettably hindered my ability to concentrate for overly long periods of time. It should hopefully be healed by the beginning or the end of next week, so I’d like to think that things should get back to normal after that.
So, with all of that being said, my next few posts should stick with Drenan’s Folly, but I’m also toying with throwing in some of the other stories in between for the sake of getting them out there. Does anyone have opinions on this? If I do, which story would be most preferable to read by the sound of it? I know it’s not much to go on, but I thought I’d ask anyway. Cheers!
Also, since this is my first journal here, I wanted to express a sincere thanks to everyone who's gotten to read here or on the tumblr. I'm at over 1,200 views here which seems -ungodly- high to me, but I'm so very grateful that my work is getting seen! I hadn't imagined that so many people would be interested in even looking at what I have to share before I started. Whether it's good or not is up for interpretation, but thus far things seem to be coming up Milhouse, and I can't complain about that. Double cheers!
