TheLastGasp posted a journal saying he planned to share stories in progress via Google Doc. I thought that was a great idea, so I'm going to do the same. I've got one WIP that I finished outlining.
You can add comments about where you think it should go, anything you think should be rewritten, whatever. If somebody gets serious about helping me, I'll give them "modify" permission.
Okay, I got hung up for a while trying to upload "The Hanging Academy". At 400,000 words, it's just too big for Google Docs to handle. I can upload it to Google Drives, but trying to share it... just doesn't work.
But the story is separated into 7 distinct parts, each with multiple chapters. So I split it up and uploaded each one separately. Success! Here they are:
1: "Island Adventure," set on Santamos Island, "The Island of Consensual Executions". You sign the papers, get them stamped, and you can be hanged, garroted, beheaded, shot, or drowned. In this story, Damien takes 9 women there to fulfill their fantasies. While there, he meets a few more with similar needs. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WYvA3-lyFpyTZhF2GT5... Warning: humans
The premise is fairly simple: a major art museum is having an exhibit by an artist who specializes in hangings: paintings, photographs, and actual people hanged in the exhibit. I liked that so much, I thought about the concept. In particular, where would you get the models/victims for the art? I came up with three categories:
1. Prisoners who are facing a death sentence or a very long term, and risk their lives -- if they aren't chosen, they get their sentences reduced.
2. People who want advance tickets to the exhibit. If you are willing to risk being picked for the exhibit, you can get a ticket to view it before the crowds come in.
3. Pure volunteers: women and men who are so into hanging that they volunteer to become part of the exhibit.
You'll find out the rest, including a bit about the characters' motivations, by reading the story.
