I think that's the most likely, but ideally, if I were to make it, they'd actually replicate their look from the original and instead make everything look "slightly fluffy". But then we'd have the dilemma that it would be too "samey" and people would hate it for trying to replace the original, so - nevermind that, go straight for the Jungle Book rl movie look.

This will never take away what we've got. It can't. But yes, my mild optimism is based on the fact that I actually liked the Jungle Book real life movie. Much of it anyway.
The Lion King is perfect, and it is what it is. It cannot be remade. And I will always prefer the hand-drawn animation over CGI, *no* question :).

That's how I feel about it, too. People were skeptic of Simbas Pride, when that came out. People were skeptic of The Lion Guard. Some still are, but a lot think the second movie and the new series were quite nice. A lot of people even enjoy Lion King 1 1/2, I sure do. Now -- this is special because it is a remake, and looks totally different. It cannot replace the original.

Yes =^_^= I've enjoyed the new Jungle Book movie so much, that it changed my mind about this. I'm looking forward to the Lion King "remake", because it will never take away the real one from me. But especially after they made The Lion Guard, the movie will not lose it's relevance, because TLG looks more like the original movie. :]
