I remember that day, my mom was workin at the pentagon that da, but from what she told me. she had left an hour or so before it hit and it were her office was. I have been shot at, shot and had a grenade explode near me but I have never been as scared as I was that day

I was 47 then.
I was working in a factory that built weighing scales that morning (everything from scales for weighing trucks to post office scales). I was welding together decks for 4 foot x 4 foot, in-floor scales when one of the other guys said he just heard on the radio that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center.
At first I thought it might have been an inexperienced pilot flying a cub plane, but the guy who had the radio thought it might have been a plane belonging to a commercial airline, although he said with the noise going on from machines and equipment running, he couldn't hear for sure that's the kind of plane it was.
A later report confirmed it was a commercial passenger plane. At that point, only the first plane had crashed so far, and some of us thought it could possibly be an accident due to a mechanical issue with the plane that would later result in a re-call of that particular model plane...There had been recalls on various planes for mechanical defects going on prior to that time, and there had been several airline disasters in the years not much earlier to then.

But not very long afterwards, the report came in that a 2nd plane crashed into the other tower. We all knew then it was no accident...It was obvious at that point it was on purposely done. The company we worked for allow us to take a break to go into the break room and see the coverage on the television. That was where we heard of the plane that hit the pentagon and the one that was ditched in Pennsylvania that was meant for the Capitol Building in D.C.
A while later, when we were back to work, the guy who had the radio told us when he heard the reports of the buildings collapsing.
I remember seeing reports from out of Afghanistan of people celebrating in the streets there...It was already night time there. They were jumping, dancing, singing, cheering, banging tambourines, hollering, "YA YA YA YA YA YA YA YA", and sounding off with those long, fluttering tongue rollings they sometimes do...Some of them even walked up to the news camera and arrogantly smiled and waved.

Here are two actual footage of Palestinian and Syrian street celebrations following 911

I could not find any of the videos I saw that day of the Afghan street celebrations.
Although the following two videos are of celebrations of Afghan football victories, these two videos look just about identical to the night time street celebrations they were having in Afghanistan once they received news of the fall of the WTC towers;

I was 8 back then and I don't know whats going on. I was little probably I was still at school or I got out early that day. My parents never told me anything what's going on because they look busy watching George W. Bush announce the attack on the twin towers. It's a long time ago to remember but at least I got one memory about the speech.

It's been 15 years and I wasn't even near the attacks..... But, the pain of watching so many lives lost for nothing other than pure hate. :'( I just can't shake it, even now.....

My mom was at the doctor's office. It's a big complex with lots of doctors in the same building, and the main lobby's TV had the news on. Everyone was just standing stunned. I was with grandma at her house when she called us, and we watched as the building burned. I even told the grass cutter, I'm not sure he believed me, I was only 13. We saw the second plane hit as they were watching the burning tower. I can almost smell the house from that day when I remember it. Sometimes I smile when I think back on it, because it's one of the clearest memories I have of my grandma when she still had her wits about her.

I was about 12 years old. I remember how our 1st chanel broadcasted video with attacks. First thoughts: "It is unbelivable and unreal!" But after all this video i believed that it was true. I never can believed that it could occur with USA :с

Was 8 at the time. I'll never forget when I came home from school and heard about it all over the news. I remember my mother putting a background picture up on her computer a few days afterwards that had a Bald Eagle crying and behind it was the destruction of the Twin Towers coming down. Looked like this:http://cdn.lookanimals.com/pictures/photos1.blogger.co...
Still shaken by that today. One of the worst tragedies I saw in my life.

4 days after my birthday. I remember the day all too well. Was in my junior high science class when they told the news over our intercoms. Everyone was sent home that day... Luckily, I didn't know anyone who was lost in the attacks, but my heart goes out to anyone who does. It will be a day forever embedded in my memory as a youth, and we should never forget such a tragedy.
