My greetings, loyal followers. I can't quite express how good it feels to finally be back among you. I returned to Bucharest on August the 30th actually, but Sofurry was down for like a week, and aug the 30th was when World of Warcraft Legion launched and when my real life died...only to be resurrected a week later or so! I bet you're more interested in how my trip went so I'll skip the World of Warcraft part for now. One thing I have to say is that Legion is by far my favorite expansion so far. Lots of content at launch, amazing questing experiences, and gorgeous architecture and landscapes. Oh and, the music is divine, as always XD
As for my family trip, we began our adventures in Sibiu, which was one of the two European Capitals of Culture back in 2007( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Capital_of_Culture ). I can honestly see why it made it into that list. The city looks absolutely gorgeous and it has some amazing architecture.
The city has a hefty german population living in here so that probably explains why it's so clean and awesome LOL! Anyways, after we left Sibiu, we went to the western part of Romania, towards Apuseni. We visited this quite impressive church, which was built on the 3rd century by the romans, and gosh, it looks awesome, given how old it is: http://sta.sh/02et6h3n28wj
After that, we entered Hateg, where they had this Dinosaur Geopark. I freaking love dinos so of course I went to the museum to take some pics.
On the feathered vs scaly dinosaur debate, they did find proof that smaller species of raptors had feathers here, so that made me quite happy inside. I kinda like how feathered dinos look! The feathers make them at least 70% cuter!
Moving on, we visited one of Romania's most famous caves, which houses the biggest underground glacier in Europe, 34 meters deep if memory serves. It looks even more impressive in real life, trust me.
I apologize for the quality of the pictures. They are taken with my phone, so derp :D
There have been many more adventures following, such as visiting a cave that had lotsa bats! We couldn't take pics with them due to them rules, but the entrance to this cave looks awesome, to put it short: http://sta.sh/014qzh69wegz
And finally, here are some random landscape pics taken with my phone. They are not the best, but they are miiiiine!
That's all for now! I'll start posting stories and other stuff starting with today. Hope you like my pics and the things they depict. As my brother in law said, Romania is very beautiful once you leave Bucharest, haha.
Well. I've spent some time in Germany but I think this looks like an awesome trip! Romania would be pretty cool to visit. Hope you enjoyed your trip, looks like you really enjoyed it. Oh! And thanks for sharing!
