This policy takes effect when you receive the money for the commission.
1: You are offered up to one-year to get the commissioned finished. This is for things that could keep you from finishing say like art block, medical, death in the family, homeless, etc.
2: I will take upon myself to ask for an update at least 2 weeks at a time; the purpose of this check-up is not for progress, but to acknowledge that you still know that you have a commission with me.
3: I will give an update when 6 months are due, then 3 month, then 1 month. Through whatever contacts I have of you.
4: At no point are you allowed to change the price for which we had originally agreed on. Everything needs to be upfront and accessible.
5: If you are unable to finish the commission by one-year, I will request a refund of the project. Which you will have one week to send to me.
6: If a refund of the project is not provided after the request, the relationship is over. I will never commission from them again, all other projects from the artist if on going are canceled, I will break all ties from the artist, and if anyone asks me about the artists work I will say nothing or negative things.
7: Should the commission be finished, the artist is allowed to post it on any gallery that is theirs, but it must be posted on their IB account (unless it violates their rules, in which case a link to the commission will be substituted).
8: If said artist doesn't have a IB, I will place the commission on my IB account for the time until the artist does have a IB account, in which they can place it in theirs.
9: If said artist had decided to give up on drawing for whatever reason, and abandons their IB account or deletes all their content from their IB account, the art from the artist I commissioned is now mine, and I will post it on my account for all to see. I consider abandonment of one's IB account to be one year without activity.
10: All payment activity for commission activity will be listed in my profile page.
11: All commissions are strictly for personal intention, if it's paid for I will need to see a WIP before it's finished, and I have say on how it looks and you can only can proceed when I give it the OK on the WIP.
And now for some footnotes that are not part of the policy, but still important to know.
a. Requests are not part of the policy, as far as I'm aware of and will continue to believe they will never get done.
b. I will not be involved an artist's work through Patron, Art Packs, other services; how an artist chooses to make their money is their own business.
c. My main commission approach is through comic commissions, it doesn't mean that I won't take other forms of art (emergencies only), it's just what I prefer.
d. If your an artist who I've talk to regarding a plan for a commission, but it's been over 2 months since we last talked and I can't get in contact with you, I will consider the plan to be dropped.
