Fuck you...

This is the 5th time i ended up installing my Windows 10 on my laptop from scratch, one more time and i'm seriously going to break the Windows 10 USB I Bought if it gets destroyed again T_T

Sorry Guys just a quick vent before i head to bed, Windows 10 is actually great & Super fast (it surpasses other Windows in terms of performance & ease of use for me) but not when it gets completelly Destroyed, i've fixed up the problem, so i'm hoping it will stay alive now for a long time, not really sure if i will see my windows crashed again if i wake up... let's hope not, this is going to be a nightmate OTL

I'm in the same boat. The amount of bizarre bugs that basically can't be fixed by anything short of reinstallation I've ecountered so far was unexpected... x_x

Avast seems to be the Main issue of the boot problem, it also caused a power fail which makes the system unable to load Windows

..which reinforces my passionate hatred of antiviruses even further.. xD

I've seen a lot of people complain about issues that 'can't be resolved without a reinstall', but honestly I've yet to encounter any of them myself. I installed windows 10 as soon as it went into standard release. And I've hit a snag or two. But nothing I couldn't fix. It's just that most people don't really know how to fix windows...
Not to mention. Almost every problem, honestly I can only think of two that weren't, are related to something that isn't windows. It's a program, or something else external that windows has no control over, doesn't work as it should. Or did something that it should not have. Especially antivirus programs.

For some odd Reason Windows 10 Fixed itself luckly and Avast and everything are running fine without a problem and i can reboot normally, honestly i have no idea what caused the problem in the first place and i have no idea either how the problem fixed itself, but i think what matters is that i can run things fine again after several attempts to boot in normally, also from what've heard it was something like a power fail as one of the reasons aside from avast being the main problem but i'm not sure

I'm suspecting trying to install an OS by USB drives often doesn't work right.
My attempt to do win7 by USB didnt work right. I gotta get a physical disk & sata dvd drive sometime and try that -_-
If I was to guess, maybe it changes the USB driver while using it, since it threw an unknown driver error during it then gradually got unstable over the days.

After long reasearch i finally found what's causing  my Win 10 from loading on my laptop

it's AVAST!!! i really suspected it at the beggining but i wasn't sure

And i seems to not be the only one having it:

https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=184547.0

I've tried everything, and the only boot mode that's working is f7 (7th option) which still disable some important feature for some programs to work properly

I don't want to uninstall avast if there is a solution as i've already bought a 2 year license, but i've tried everything and no mehtod worked for me at all OTL

Ah!
It's been so long ago, I forgot I suspected Avast was causing problems too. That's why I stopped using it.
I also suspect it had something to do with my previous install on this old WinXP main drive file index corrupting, it kept causing random boot errors & access denied errors for things it shouldn't have.
I still haven't had time to try and recover the rest of the files.. I probably have to manually copy the raw file sectors to fix those x_x.

For some odd reason, it seems that Win 10 fixed by itself now, i have no idea how this happened, i just had to try booting normally several times, until i had a success atempt and Windows booted normally, I made sure it's nothing wrong and did several restarts, and it's all doing fine now, i still have Avast running & no problems after the success attempt :)

I hear one of two things regarding windows 10:  "it's great, BUT", or "@#(*$@(#*$&@(*#&$(@ IT'S SPYWARE INCARNATE".

Considering Microsoft's campaign to "upgrade" existing installations to 10, I'm inclined to agree with (but not side with) the "malware" crowd.  Two of my devices came with 10 on them; neither run it now.

Forced upgrade from Win7, here... Constantly forgets settings, start menu, WiFi... Considering Ubuntu Linux to replace the piece of crap... Win7 was actually quite good, but 8 onwards, it reminds me of WinME-- Junk.

I've heard Microsoft has referred to Win10 as their "last" version of Windows... Keep this up, and it will be.

Has anyone installed their anniversary update yet? I downloaded it just now and I wanna be sure what's what before I install.

Well, it depends on what what is… it's overall a good update, there have been some webcam- and Kindle-related issues; the former have been fixed by subsequent updates.

I've updated to the anniversary, both of it and my previous Windows 10 still crashes, nothing was fixed sadly :T

so the anniversary doesn't adds up much

but apart from that, it's the same stable Windows 10 that was working fine for me before this problem happened, and more organized

Maybe you can get a refund… it's a sunk cost at this point, so if it's just going to cost you more time to try to fix it, it might not be worth doing.

But the license was from a year ago >_<

So i'm not certain it's possible now, so i have one more year left for the license and few months

Even downgrading to Free avast, it's still the same Results

O-o the USB? Why not use Windows update to install Windows 10?
StrawberryFox

Wait you want me to upgrade? heck no, worst option ever o_O

The upgrade worked fine on my PC (not at first as i've had to do some tweeks to fix and it worked) , but not on my laptop Sadly even after doing the tweaks  as it made it a big disaster and it become super laggy, so the upgrade usually does not works on all computers, and i don't recommend it at all, the only way to fix the lags was to install it from scratch as from what i've heard & it did fix it, but now i stumbled among another problem, that prevents my win10 from loading

oh gee, that is terrible ;-( Best to stick with Windows 7 XD

Windows 7 was laggy on my laptop, Window 8.1 was the best in it's time, Windows 10 is even better and easier for me but unlucky for me, it's crashing/destroying a lot on my laptop (it's pretty stable on my pc)

I don't care what they say about windows 10. Not on my PC. It'll fuck up all my games making them incompatible. No siree.

Oddly enough, my PC can run win 10 perfectly with all games, but on my laptop, it just tends to crashes within few days T_T

I prefer my legal spyware-free Win7 personally.

Windows XP is still one of the best put out by Windows. win10 ranks below win98 imo.
