Or even go to your local Community Schools which are like $200 to $500 a quarter instead of $1000 to $2500 university or even $54k For profit schools.

I've also heard that the gov't is gonna also start handing out money to go to bootcamps after students graduate from college so they can learn an actual skill.

Also heard the rumors that the tech start up scene is slowing down.

Not sure about the start up but I figure those go in waves. As for the boot camps it's more the government is pushing paid internships and work study in the field you are looking to go into.

Idk, probably. There are plenty of free online courses that support it. You just need to look around.

Unaccredited? Isn't that pretty much shooting yourself in the foot, education-wise?

Not really. There are 2 kinds of Unaccredited. The first being skill less training that has no use in the real market such as nearly every ITT or Devry and similar course. These classes and schools effectively waste time and cost $54k

The other Unaccredited like these many free courses not only have real world uses but if you end up going to a physical school you should be able to take the test and probably skip the course for credit.

Besides, most of the real world cares more about can you do it and not the expensive paper that says you went to school for it.

If you got it from any of the "for profits" it isn't

Been researching that and from what I have learned, any degrees earned prior to the Department of Education shutting ITT Tech down are still valid

No, I mean it is useless and the education you got there is either obsolete or just completely wrong. Trust me... I know.

The reason being the classes you went to cant be transferred to another school... ever and do to the stigma there are plenty of companies that won't touch you.

In that case, I am going to have to get in touch with my VA vocational rehab counselor nad find out what my options are at this point.

Even if the education is obsolete, it is still a degree. As for useless, no knowledge is useless, it just need to applied better.

anyone who took out Loans from the School can get them waved, however if you used your VA Benefits then... well you might be able to swing some help from a real school like your local college.

The thing is, I graduated in 2012, so that would mean my options are limited. That is why I am going to be talking to my vocational rehab counselor to see what options are available to me.

Well I am going to pursue all avenues.

Sad thing is, I can't afford to spend another 4 years in school as I am moving out of country next summer. So if I have to go back, I am going to need a school that will do online classes
