Through magic or what ever means, you are given the choice of the following, but you may only choose one:
A feral (normal) animal who has human level intelligence and the ability to speak your language.
or
A anthro (furry) animal who has the intelligence of an animal (of its species).
Can be any species you want but you have to pick one of the above options. What you do with said critter is up to you but understand it would be in OUR world so you'd probably have to keep it secret either way. And obviously the anthro choice wouldn't act 100% like its animal counterpart simply because of its body shape (being biped and having hands would allow it to do things a normal animal couldn't and having a human sized mouse or other small animal would definitely change its personality).
