What is it with furry artists?
The only species with horse cocks are horses...(And other equines.)

Why do so many NOT canine species have knots?

Why do so may species have human cocks?
(Could it be that the artist has only seen their own cock? Ever...)

And what's with reptiles with tits?

I know, the standard answer to all this is "Anthropomorphic."

It's not like you can't look this shit up.

Of course, I still have to laugh, as the jury is still out on My Little Pony, "tits or teats?"

Then there's the "chicks with dicks" thing.
Of course, that might be related to my human cock comment.

Anatomy is a lost along with common sense, chilvalry and bravery.

I've had this rant a few times, even confronted artists with it. Of all of them, only ONE had a reasonable explination for shit anatomy (....it's what the commissioner wanted....). The rest would argue until they went stupid.

One ignorant cuss, insisted penises aimed for the moon, because "That's how canines are".

Discussed with him quadraped vs. biped, citing several animal examples where they hung naturally and they went from rational to irrational, threatening troglodyte in five posts.

As for chicks with dicks, that came from Asia. And if Asian fetishism was erased from the planet along with anime and manga, I'd be a happy penguin.

Like anything else, when you hybridize, you get into things like ranges of variability, as well as dominant and recessive traits. In time, dominant traits prevail. So, I guess the question is when you hybridize a species, what type of genitals would emerge? In time, you'd likely have a pretty standard result. That's why stray dogs the world over look pretty much alike. Dog genes don't know national borders. It's genetics, pure and simple.
Now, as to the issues of shark girl herms, with barbed and knotted horse cocks, I'll leave that for another day.

If you are going to give an animal human intelligence, human speech, human upright walking, human clothes, human hands and fingers... why not human penis?

Furries are symbolic characters, not real living things, and as symbols they exhibit many human traits. I see nothing wrong in give a fictional character a human penis which would make sex scenes much more relatable for the human viewer than a scientifically correct but weird looking species-accurate penis.

Same with the tits. Cartoons are full of graphical conventions used to represent things. Like for example most female characters have eyelashes around the eyes and males don't have them (except Spongebob because he is obviously hermaphrodite)

If you are going to draw a female character you have to give it tits or the viewer will be confused. Tits give the body an instantly recognizable female appearance.

About non-equines with horse cocks... the hell if I know. I guess because everyone wants to have a huge one?

Well, basic answer is: for that picture, the artist is god and reality doesn't matter. Remember Salvador Dali.

As for my own stories, due to variances in genetics, you can see many different combinations of human and animal parts, depending on the percentage of human DNA and how it plays out in development. For example, a father can have animal bits, while the son has more human, because the sperm with more human DNA won the race. Not likely to see any horses with dog bits or vice versa, but genetics is weird.

But I put way to much thought into this and should probably be locked away ... or hugged.

In some cases, I'd prefer the look of the human penis over the animal on a character. I mean, have you seen a raccoon's cock? Yeah, I definitely gave Ethan a more human looking one.

I agree with you except the looking stuff up part. It's very simple to get online and at least do research, or go buy an anatomy book. My style is in between, while being anatomically correct maintaining the best balance between realistic and "cartoony" while remaining believable.

I realize the whole "Anthropomorphic" thing is fantasy, but I'd like my fantasies to be a little bit realistic. ;-)
