Im not sure to see SEGA appeared they can`t make theire own sonic in any form even in retro 2D. again ... asking 3 company to make a backwards game mascot.
POSITIVE... Im HAPPY. yes happy they bring the retro 2D back but in a HD .
SEGA... has taken a "SMART" and "COWARD" Move for us fans.
Ok SA3 is never going to happen at this point. It's too late, and any story potential for it was done in Heroes & Shadow. And even if it did happen, a good majority of people would complain endlessly about it because "it's not how it use to be". It's best for Sonic to move forward. Not go back.

;.; man that's hard to watch. nostalgia kickin all over the place. only took them over 20 years to expand upon games that were already stupid good/popular. We never wanted new flashy gimmicks or progressive ruination of the games. we just wanted MORE of the same 2d goodness, we bought the damn thing for in the first place. Now, I don't know shit about the 3 companies involved in this, mainly because I stopped being a fan when they forced sonic in to the 3d world and step by step lost touch with what made the games great. not saying you can't have a great sonic in 3d. I've just never seen it done right for more than a single stage of a game or so. I just hope they do a good job on it. then I can wish I owned a what? PS4? omg I feel old >.>; I want cartridges rebooted. it's not like they couldn't do it easily these days with ram and CPUs so advanced.

Christian Whitehead has proven to be able to bring the classic gameplay back with his remakes, also Sonic Team need help with Sonic Mania so they can focus on the anniversary game which is looking more amazing!

this and Sonic 2017 i am excited for. and i'm so glad they aren't comign out this year or early next year. that meants they're actually takign their time with these ones. especially since sonic 2017 has been in developement since Boom was announced

Anyone who rants about this technically falls into the hypocrite category. This is EXACTLY what every fanboy/fangirl kept ranting at SEGA because they wanted this. So, yeah... They really can't complain, they asked for it. They got it and while they keep complaining, I'll be in my corner, enjoying the Sonic Adventure series, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost Worlds and Sonic Mania. :3

1) It's actually two companies and one guy who's tagging along for the ride.
2) Unlike Sega and Dimps, Headcanon (or rather its owner Simon Thomley) and Christian Whitehead have a proven track record of well polished retro Sonic experiences. The mobile ports of Sonic 1, 2 and CD were made by Whitehead, and he didn't just emulate the games, he actually recreated them, fixing problems the originals had along the way and adding new tweaks/features.
3) Fuck going forward, I haven't been this excited about a Sonic game since the early 2000s.
