Welp, my taxi to take me to the airport should be arriving any time now. My sister's been planning this trip/saving up for it for a while now. Siblings and I are going to be taking my niece and nephew to Disney Land while they're still kids. :3
It was originally planned to be a bigger family event, but sadly things ended up happening that's caused some of what my sister had originally planned to have to be changed.
My mom got a really bad kidney stone that she only just finally was able to get surgically removed earlier this week. With things being uncertain for how she'd feel after the operation, especially seeing as how the doctors were going to try a new thing for getting rid of the stones, my parents understandably ended up deciding not to go.
My niece also managed to get a minor concussion about a month ago, so we'll have to limit what rides she can go on.
Still, I think we'll have an enjoyable time, and if we're lucky, maybe in a few years time we can save up and try to do it again with my parents involved. My family's never really had a lot of money, so... we didn't exactly do things like this during my childhood. It really would be nice to give my parents a bit of a real vacation at some point.
Anywhos, I'd best be rapping this up and keeping an eye out for that taxi. See you guys in a few days.
