I've been somewhat unsatisfied with both my art and my online presence recently, so I figured it was about time I did something about it.
First, about my art. I got stuck with my current art style, just drawing each body part in the few angles/poses that I know and putting them together always in the same way, like I'm using bases that I draw from scratch each time. First thing, I'll go for more over the top expressions, instead of always drawing the few boring ones I'm used to. Then, body types. I already try to give each pony different heights, to only a questionable amount of success, but from now on I plan on keeping other things in mind, like varying musculature and thickness/length of legs, for example. I also have some other ideas to make my drawings feel less rigid, but that's vaguer stuff that will take some more experimentation later. Also, sketches. I posted a couple of sketches here last year, but they weren't sketches as much as poorly drawn line arts. I have since found a new sketching style that I actually likes, and it makes planning pictures and figuring out things much, MUCH easier. I have also been using a defective tablet that didn't allow me to use any stabilizer past 15, but I recently replaced it and lining sketches is also much easier now. And while I still need practice with it, I also learnt how to draw humans that look decent enough recently, and I plan on soon expanding even further from there, going for anthros and other kinds of creatures. Like Pokemon. Specially Pokemon.
As for my presence, I've been way too quiet here. Don't think I posted a comment that wasn't a reply in many months, and haven't been keeping up with my favorites either. So, I'll try and be more social here from now on. I also have a Fur Affinity that I use mostly to follow people who only post there, and I'll see about starting to upload there too, as well as creating a new Tumblr just for my art, and dusting off my Deviant Art. Also, I've been drawing some stuff that isn't allowed here. I have an empty Pixiv which I plan on using for uploading that, but first I'll need to figure out how tagging/uploading works there, as well as their guidelines, so, that'll will likely still be a bit further down the road. I'll let you guys know about my new galleries once I'm ready to use them.
Also, I slightly lowered my commission prices, and I'll be posting a new chart after I'm done with my current batch of drawings. So, expect commissions to be opened within the next month.
Tl;dr, I'll be doing some changes to my style, trying out more non-pony stuff, opening new galleries and being more social from now on.
