Tablet driver problem unable to draw. And update

I have new computer now which is good xD but i have only paid for half of it so i need to draw more commission lol.
I have everything set back up but the tablet driver is not working. My computer is windows 10 and i use intous 4. when i install the driver and restart the computer, it says  “ C:\Program Files\Tablet\Pen\Pen_Tablet.exe A referral was returned from server”. I can;t close the error window because once i close it, it goes back up again. The tablet is working like a mouse now, no pen pressure at all. I seriously need help with this =3=

Wish I could help... but I think all that is beyond me. >.>

I'd suggest the obvious and try to look up YouTube videos about it?

I tried youtube and follow their instruction but i still have the same problem lol. There are many programs that have the same "A referral was returned from server" but non of them is wacom related. I think mine is the first in the world lol.

You might have to take it into a PC-shop and get it fixed up for it then... unless you have a super techy PC friend on-hand. xD

Where are you getting the driver from? Maybe you need a different version for the new OS? Look for that first. Also, make sure you have all the latest Windows updates. If that doesn't work:

This advice may help, but beware that it may also decrease your security… a bit. It is saying "let any program run" rather than "let any program from someone who's paid for a digital signature run."

Another way to do that is to lower the slider in Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings. Try one notch at first.

That was the thing i did lol. But it was already disabled and i still have the same problem. Im pretty sure i got the right version because i got it from the official wacom website itself and windows is up to date. Im gonna loose some hair after this |D

Could see if you have some third-party security software interfering, I guess? o_o

I wish it was the case. The first thing i do when i got my computer is uninstall all bloatware include security/anti virus crap that come with windows. But seriously this error is security involved so i'll have to pull even more hair try to fix this lol

How old is your tablet? I ran into a major driver problem when I built my new machine. I run an old Intuos that has a wire. Thing has traveled and seen so much use all the tags are worn off of it. Found out the current drivers from Wacom don't support it, but they don't say that anywhere. Had to go into my storage drives to find an old copy of the drivers from 2015 to make it work.

I think its over 5 years old now because i bought it from someone else. And its probably because its so old and there are no windows 10 support for it.

I've had mine since about '07 or '08. lol

If the wire hasn't been tugged too hard and the surface isn't scraped to hell, it should still work. I can send a PM if I find where my copy of the older drivers are, if you'd like.

Version 6 of the intuos driver may not support intuos4 under Windows 10. You may need to roll back to version 2 of the driver, which is what I needed to do in order to support my intuos 2 under Windows 8...
