Forgive my ignorance but i thought 18 was the AOC nationwide. some states are different?

It's sort of a gray area. In Michigan however it is 16. The national age is 18. I think its odd they are so focused on age when incest is illegal in pretty much every state yet they allow that.

GA, and a few other Southern states are 16 as well. Also complettly agree, FA is garbage.

I consider a ban from FA to be a badge of honor myself.

And, even though I haven't found all the artists I used to watch there on other sites, I have left. Not going back. Nice to be away.

sounds like when FA went mad banning people for sonic rule 34 citing their official ages as underage, despite characters in that universe not changing in looks by age, and completely neglecting aging up anyway

FA may be garbage, but they are going by the most restrictive AOC for their protection. It's nothing against you personally.

I know its not against me personally. I am just baffled that they allow incest and drug use which is illegal in ALL 50 states yet they wont allow to LEGALLY consenting people to fuck.

The age of consent is variable, yes, but that refers to sex in private situations that isn't recorded or drawn as pornography.

In porn (real life porn, anyway, and FA's AUP), every character depicted still has to be 18, regardless of the state's age of consent laws.

But yes, I'm not too crazy about how FA is still handling what's okay and what's not okay. Graphic violence, death, and illegal drug use don't seem to bother people as much as a cub being naked.

Exactly! The cub thing I can understand but they cherry pick which laws they want to follow. If you are going to follow one law you should follow them all.

I do have sympathy to your point of view. Nothing infuriates me more than admins and mods bolstering power they ought not to have with no oversight or moderation. But as has been said, the FA AUP does state all characters must be aged 18 when in adult content. So I think it's more just their choice on the matter as I think in the past they got into hot water because they did once display cub porn and in order to avoid further trouble they just strictly uphold their policy on age.

I did see the submission before it got taken down, and honestly if you'd have just not specified Scout's age, I reckon you could have gotten away with it. The whole admin process there is ridiculously pathetic. Popular artist posts incredibly questionable art that depicts a 'small breasted woman' which looks way too close to a young preteen girl than anything else and nothing happens. Someone posts a story about characters which are genuinely 18 but never specifies as such, and suddenly they're the embodiment of Satan.

FA is crap. It's filled mostly with fakefurs and bullies. There's some great art, but that's about it. The people that run FA are mental, and it's just a bad site. Inkbunny is a much better furry site in every way :). That's my opinion :).

not defending them or anything, but maybe this is why
I don't know how laws like this work, if 16 is age of consent in Michigan, and you post art of a 16 year old, but the someone is viewing your work in, say, new York, or somewhere that the age of consent is 18, how would things play out?
they might be covering their bases just incase, I dunno, but they still should have a better way of going about it than this

now, I like your art and most everything you post, so don't take this as turning against you, just trying to think of a reason behind their actions

I kinda thought that would happen when I saw you listing an age. FA can't go on age if you don't list it, though; if it looks adult enough and there's no number, they'll assume it's adult.

The age of consent and the age for visuals are different. There are instances where it's illegal to have a picture of someone but not to sleep with them.

Yes it's stupid but that's the way it's set up.

Don't forget that they also allow rape, murder, torture etc on there. All also illegal and considered immoral as well.

They love to claim that cub is banned because it's immoral and that it's illegal IRL. I find it funny that you can draw a cub being mutilated or killed but the second his dick shows it's wrong and you should expect a ban.
