Who am I...

My name is Carl, I'm an artist from the UK. I've been an artist for a while, years in fact. Yet I've rarely posted anything I've drawn, even the stuff that would be perfectly acceptable in polite society.

Part of this is the usual nerves and self-loathing that comes with a lot of artists and their work.

Elsewhere on the interwebs, I've have been known - and I'm using the term loosely - as starlac. A username that incorporates my gamertags and was/is my general interest username online. I set up softtailed as a NSFW account of sorts, though in truth I only ever added a few imagines to my DeviantArt account before.

I been mulling over in my mind about what to do regarding the usernames, should I merge them into one all-encompassing account, or keep a separate account for the two states (SFW and NSFW), linking them together for those interested in seeing such works. In the end, I've decided to split them into two, with my other, SFW account being here.

Most of it will be my original characters and I've got a bit of a backlog of character art to put through.

So if anyone's interested, well, links up there.

I've been a covert furry for years, or at the very least a fan of anthropomorphic art. I remember browsing through the pages of Yerf at college, before moving on to sites like FurAffinity, VCL and the like. Heck, I remember when Kevin & Kell was published in black & White and the early days of Freefall. I can trace my interest in the more "mature" themes of the fandom thanks to the likes of Minerva Mink in Animaniacs and the characters of Eric W. Schwartz, particularly “Quality Time” a short animation for the Commodore Amiga starring Flip the Frog and Clarisse the Cat.

Another UKian - welcome to Inkbunny, Carl! I hope you enjoy your time here. :-)

I've enabled the bulk upload options on your account, which might be useful in posting your backlog.

If you feel like a hit from the past, I run the Yerf Archive as well. Files tend to be bigger now!

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

Thanks, GreenReaper, I've certainly been enjoying it so far, and hope to continue. I'm was attracted by the tag-blocking system in place here, and the no humans in sexual situations policy, especially given the UK's “Coroners and Justice Act 2009”* in regards to the latter.

Thanks for that, it's been helpful. Though Inkbunny's proved itself more user-friendly than some other art site in terms of bulk uploading. I'm happy that I can put the old art in multi-page submissions.

Most of the stuff I have left to do is in paper/sketchbooks or else is line-art. My scanner's going to have a bit to do. Might go to putting up new art and older stuff intermittently.

I knew you ran some other sites like wikifur, but was unaware you ran the Yerf Archive. I've had a look in there a few times a little while back to see and reminisce. And true, files can be a lot bigger these days.

Take care of yourself, you cute norn.

*Having read the act and the parliamentary discussions materials, I came to much the same conclusion as your comments on said act that I've seen.

No worries - I've done a lot worse with respect to replies! :-)

I'm well aware of the act in question, and as you say, our policies are intended to avoid hosting work which might contravene it. We haven't had a problem with it yet - Russia doesn't like us, but we're in good company there, and they wouldn't like the homosexuality either.

Some people use bulk uploads to a single multi-file submission for related sketches, depending on how much time they have to fill out individual submission details. You can put up a lot that way!
