Public ranting

Ok I know some people like to vent online about things that happen, but why is it they always expect you to take their side in the rant when they do? Recently a user made such a journal, I provided a civil, but different view of things, and they not only removed the comments, but banned me from their account postings. If you don't want to hear all sides of things don't post such journals for petes sake. Its like a debate team banning another debater because they don't agree with them. Don't go doing something childish as they did.

I had asked the opinion and advice of someone, and he got bent out of shape when I did not take his advice as he expected or wanted.

A simple mater it was. It's about my current avatars eyes. He said they don't look right. So I asked him how so, and how should I fix it? I just may change it.

He said they glow, and look uncanny and creepy that way, and not in a good way. I said I made them have a little glow to them on purpose, by adding some luminescence to the texture settings on them. And if you think they look creepy, I happen to like creepy, so I may keep it this way for that much alone after all.

He then told me if I am not going to take his advice, then don't ask for it.

Some seem to think advice asked for is a requirement to follow. Never mind the many randomly blurted out comments and posts most people give on a whim, like I do. O.o

To what you said about
" Don't go doing something childish as they did.

I did, some time ago.

It had to do with a story I posted on another site. In the description I stated I felt the story is whimsical. For in my mind it partly was.

Late one night, someone who is known to post rude things to others left a comment under my story, just simply stating, "Where is the whimsy? And you are full of shit!"

I was half tempted to respond, but was at the time, zonked, and just didn't wish to deal with his type that night, so I had deleted his comment instead.

The next day, another like him had jumped in, and had given me a warning about deleting comments, and that it will only attract some bad attention.

He said he may say more, but knows I will just delete what he would say. As if he knows me.

Him and I had debated for near two weeks after, right under his comment, with him mostly making many comments as to what he thinks of me, and my writing. As me just being another shit writer he can't stand.

He would say things like, "I can say your stories are crap, because I am a professional writer, and know what is good or not. What you put down is not a story, it's like shitting into a bowl and calling it art. No one would like to read that crap. And I know your type. You sill alone all the time, with a cat or a dog, and wished he had friends."

I would replay with such things as, "It's still just your opinion on if anyone would like my story or not. And you are half right about me. I do at times sit alone petting the dogs at home, but I don't wish I had friends when I am, or any other time. I know enough people to not have that want."

When he finally got upset and ranted with the question, "Why do you even come here at all?" I deleted the entire two week of comments between him and I, and left his first behind with him stating that he knows I will delete his comments, just to make him right in the end. ^.^

Was so long ago and childish on my part, but hay, it felt good at the time. In a way, it still does.

(Late to the comments, but here's my two cents, if you'll have them.) Some people don't want an objective(subjective?) opinion that shows them a different point of view, they just want an obsequious toadie, a brown-nosing Yes-Man. They just want you to view their opinion as deity-given FACT and if you don't, then they beat you over the head with their whining, block you, then cry about the original problem, and add you to the mix, claiming bs to make you seem more evil than Mr. WW2 bad men, and anything else they can think of. It's why Ihave no FB, too many toxics like that (plus FB claiming my account may be hacked so call 3 randos on friend list! I don't know any phone numbers, so no FB for me.) Thank you for listening.

Also, referring to GFHCDK76's comments, I say people like that have the "Master of All" mentality. Basically, "DO AS I F%#&ING SAY, OR I'LL (insert bs here). There is rarely ever any reasoning with those asinine jackenapes. When I had to deal with ther obnoxious verbal "wit", I was calm, civil, tried to reason with them, then either blocked or reported them if I could. Most of them had diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain. A few started as civil, yet became the Karens and Kevins we all love to hate when they found out I wouldn't cowtow to their "respectfully worded requests", i.e. their blathering demands that made it seem as if they were cornobbled for a fortnight and then defenestrated from a 3rd story window landing safely upon their most unused asset, their heads. Screenshot and record everything having to do with it/them so you have evidence if it all goes south. Sorry for rantvice (ranting and advice). I apologise. Thank you for listening.
