Havent been well, update.

Sorry.
Haven't had time or felt well enough to reply to much of anything in weeks.
Had another full blown breakdown around the holidays, plus some cold weather blasts kept me too numb to do much of anything useful. Literally spent majority of the time in bed tossing and turning.
Was way way way too much anxiety attacks, people gloating and commercial spam all at once..
I still don't feel right. Starting to think one can't fully recover from these..

But more fallout from that, I wasn't able to stick around long enough to follow up on when I was asking for help on the heating & PC issue last time. Only got 55% of what I needed so in the red again. >_<

So anybody that wanted to help but couldn't contact me last time, I still need help.

Worked on a few simpler things when it warmed up, posted whats ready so far, a few more things almost ready.
Did feel better for a couple brief times recently, was nice to have a few old shows get new episodes & temporarily not worry about panic inducing problems for a bit.

Also, I think I might have to get a physical disk copy of Win7, been trying to narrow down the problem, all I can figure is that trying to use the virtual copy on a flash drive might be fucking up, a clue is that I have to include a driver to do that.
Plus I need yet another drive to make a raid redundancy since I'm using the other as the backup drive replacement.

I'm trying but I don't think I can take much more of this stress.

Kinda hard not to if it's the only option left on the list. Getting more and more likely.

Nada..
Welp, looks like i'm fucked.
Me and then the modem just had to break down right in the middle of back when people could help. I'm so fucking lucky.

Well, ~85% (for February) now.
Stabilizing but not out of the woods yet.
But my thanks to those that helped.

I'm confused, what's wrong with your computer?  Who the hell is gloating at you (and where do they live?!)  nobody knows unless they had one, how physically disabling anxiety attacks can be.  Whenever I feel one coming on I tend to do something strenuous to work through it, try going outside and sprinting for as long as possible... It helps

Hardware checks out, so I'm left suspecting a glitch in the flashdrive win7 image install method and/or the antivirus fucked it up.
New PC started getting unusually slow, random access denied & frozen OS boot screens
System worked fine when running a copy of XP though and that HDD runs fine on this old PC.
This old pc had similar problems immediately after Avast updated, one of its processes would hog cpu before system crashing, not even any mouse response. So had to revert to earlier WinXP image then remove the AV.
Was some unspecific driver error when installing but it continued, win 7 installation was freakishly fast to completion, like 5 minutes including format.
I need my own physical disk of the OS and another spare SATA drive to be sure.
Current one is holding much of the backups so cant risk overwriting it.

Was too many people going out of their way to gloat about stuff they bought, planned to buy & do. I haven't had that luxury since 2007.
All extra earnings went to bills & repairs. Nothing but more of that to look forward to.

Yeah, suffocating paralyzing cringing dread that can sometimes turn into bathroom issues getting more frequent. Tons of fun.
I try to do more chores to distract myself but I often don't even feel well enough for that.

Did you try to set the boot order? I'm unsure of the specs on your PC, but I know that win7 requires 1 GB ram minimum.  Whenever you install a new OS all the stuff from the old one stays in your HDD, so maybe it's a fuckload of registry issues?  I would say trying CCleaner before reverting, but I suppose its too late now ^^;

I'd help you if I could, I'm a dishwasher and only barely keeping my head above water myself.  I've lurked on  your profile since way before FA banned cubs >.>

Yeah, even swapped the sata cords & slots and tried running the drive alone, and tried other bios settings, so left suspecting the OS got messed up.
Unlikely to be malware because the problems started showing up before it was even connected to online or other drives.
Plus scanning the drive shows nothing.
Both the winXP & win7 were installed on the drive after formatting separately, I did a full format before those to make sure the drive was good. So no bad sectors.
It's two PCs I was talking about, the new one has several gigs of ram, which I hoped to expand to 16GB later.
This old one is a single core with 2GB ram, but I'm not trying to install w7 to that.

Um, silly question, is your processor 32bit or 64?  Trying to run a 32 bit version of Windows on a 64bit processor would work fine, but doing it the other way around will cause hangups and inability to use any ram over 4gb..

Again, I'm more concerned about the issues with the new PC
(this old PC doesn't have sata connectors without the adapter, is 32bit single core limited to 2 or 4 gigs depending on RAM, but I'm not trying to upgrade that one since cant)
The new one is 64 bit dual core with integrated graphics (which was sufficient to emulate PS2 at full fps), which can be upgraded to 4 or 8 core, and can add parallel GPU cards if I ever intend to. Supports up to128GB RAM if I remember, but I only connected 4GB at a time as a precaution.
Yeah, I'm aware there's a 32bit and 64 bit version of the operating systems, even the virtual images needed to be made bootable as 64bit, the XP one worked but the win7 one gave some vague error on install, so leads me to suspect that the recomended bootable USB drive method might be part of the problem. So I have to get a DVD version to be sure.
And I tried to make a DVD version several times using all the proper and recommended methods, they all failed.

That may be a bad copy of win7 if it failed across different media, try getting a different copy before dropping dollars on a physical one

Imaged passed the checksums, I'm thinking the methods used to make the bootable USB drive is faulty (tried both the 32bit & 64 bit boot drivers), and/or the antivirus messed it up.
I can't try anything until I get another spare hard drive and the physical disks though, been left waiting for months.
