Yep, i saw The Force Awakens.
Hit me, spoilerman, i already know everything. All of it.
I wanted to share my view on it, as i am into Star Wars since... well... forever. So i was waiting for this one.
What i can say without spoiling anything?
It's good. Lots of actions, good characters and actors, but it's also fun:
-The prequels were lacking in terms of humour (None, or bad jokes). But this one have really funny stuff. That's the first thing i wanted to say, as i feel it's quite a good and big point.
-There is no "Jar jar" characters, no one is obnoxious or annoying, and the characters are likeable. At one point (First trailer) peoples were worried with BB-8 because he looked a bit silly, but no, BB-8 is awesome, really.
-The actions scenes are really good (But that was expected) and there is lots of it. The fighters scenes are really awesome, it feels fast and everything needed for "aerial" combats.
-As for the new characters/actors themselves, well, simply put? They are good. Boyega (Finn) is funny, Ridley (Rey) is badass, etc... and Adam Driver is really good as Kylo Ren. I wasn't too sure about him fitting, as he have quite a weird face for a Star Wars villain to be honest... But you'll see. He is good. Really good.
-The previous cast/heroes (Leia, Han, Chewie, etc) are really good too. The film even flesh out one of them and make it even better (I'm not joking). I was also glad to see some of the secondary characters back in this one (You know, those we saw for only a few minutes in the Originals).
-The "new" enemy (First Order) is also quite good. They may looks like the Empire, but they are slightly different actually. But they are also less... How can i say that... "blank" than they were, even in the Originals. Stormtroopers feels more like peoples than just white armour missing the heroes in a corridor. They have cool new stuff too.
-I can't spoil the story, obviously, but it's good too. But you can clearly see it's just the beginning. I felt like i didn't had enough. Which is actually a good thing. The film is 2h15 long, but it swooped by, and i can't wait for the next one.
Though, there is stuff who feels a bit too much "Hey, plot point! There!", like it's happening because "reasons!". But it's no big deal, or may be explained later. It's the first of the three films, after all.
Can't develop more than that as i'd start spoiling stuff right, left and centre, so i'll just stop there... And in the end?
Lots of actions, new stuff, new heroes, new villains, good jokes, cool vistas, etc...
If you like Star Wars you'll probably like it.
