Well, that was an overwhelming weekend...!
For those joining us now: BronyScot is a small-town convention, even though it is the only pony convention in the country. I had the pleasure of being a vendor there for my first ever time to sell a few scribbles and have fun seeing what it’s like behind a table.
The preparation – of which I had very little time for – was exhausting. I’ve been putting in many a late night finishing off designs, sorting out prints and crying over spilt-pixels. I decided to share the table by inviting two artists who I admire (Corduroy Road and Pilla) to join me with prints of their own; and I’m overjoyed they accepted! ^.^
Putting myself and the work out there was one of the most emotionally challenging things I’ve ever done and selling it was another kettle of fish altogether.
Anyway, the day went… well… amazingly well, and more than what I could have hoped for! :3 I met some fantastic beautiful Scottish, Czech, French and British folk amongst many others. Some friends from my hometown (who are absolutely crackers) found out about the convention and also came up to support me and see what the bronies are all about (thank you Edydd, a wise friend and astonishing artist, for re-arranging the stall and being just ‘yourself’ ^.^ ) – love you all!
I’m so happy to have given it a go and have been given such a positive response. Perhaps I’ll give it another go again in a year or two if I can take the time…. ^.^
Much love anyhow,
Ruby xXx
