BronyScot De-Brief

by
Well, that was an overwhelming weekend...!

For those joining us now: BronyScot is a small-town convention, even though it is the only pony convention in the country. I had the pleasure of being a vendor there for my first ever time to sell a few scribbles and have fun seeing what it’s like behind a table.

The preparation – of which I had very little time for – was exhausting. I’ve been putting in many a late night finishing off designs, sorting out prints and crying over spilt-pixels. I decided to share the table by inviting two artists who I admire (Corduroy Road and Pilla) to join me with prints of their own; and I’m overjoyed they accepted! ^.^

Putting myself and the work out there was one of the most emotionally challenging things I’ve ever done and selling it was another kettle of fish altogether.

Anyway, the day went… well… amazingly well, and more than what I could have hoped for! :3 I met some fantastic beautiful Scottish, Czech, French and British folk amongst many others. Some friends from my hometown (who are absolutely crackers) found out about the convention and also came up to support me and see what the bronies are all about (thank you Edydd, a wise friend and astonishing artist, for re-arranging the stall and being just ‘yourself’ ^.^ ) – love you all!

I’m so happy to have given it a go and have been given such a positive response. Perhaps I’ll give it another go again in a year or two if I can take the time…. ^.^

Much love anyhow,

I'm so very glad you had a great time despite how exhausting, and stressful the experience was on the other aspects.

Thank 'ya, do you get out to conventions much?

I've never been to any convention before. But I would love to visit a pony themed convention just to hang out and really see what they're all about. Right now I just don't have the materials to really go out and do it you know?

Not sure what you mean by "materials" but you needn't have loads of funds to go visit one just for fun.... I'm guessing you live in the states so there should be some form of thingy happening near to 'ya. Some folk say that you're never more than 3 meters away from a brony at any time. Kinda' scary....

By materials I mostly meant money, I suppose I should've worded that part differently.

Truth be told, If I really tried, I probably could make it to one in the US. I just haven't looked much into it as there are a few steps I need to cross before I feel comfortable adventuring out to the great unknown. And that's excluding the subject of money altogether.

I would talk about it but.. Not something I wanna do in a comments section publicly. But anyway, if I ever do visit a con, I'll mention it.

Good to learn it went well for ya. Hopefully the next will be even better.

Thank 'ya, don't think I'll be putting myself through something like that for a while though - there are other forms of torture which will be probably more sensible.... ^.^

Oh. idk but torture doesn't really have to be sensible.
