For science! Help us test...

We have just added social networking share buttons to the Submission view page. So right next to the "Fav" star buttons on every submission, and on every journal, there are now buttons to quickly link a submission/journal via Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Could everyone give it a go and let me know your experience? Please comment here what networking site you shared the link on and how it appears etc.

This feature will be officially announced as part of the next update once this testing is complete.

Thanks for your help!

Is there or will there be an option to turn off the Share buttons on my page, journals, and submissions? :o

I'm curious why you'd want that? o.o; The people using the social buttons would have it posted on their accounts, not yours (if you were worried about privacy or something).

The Share buttons appear on all submissions and journals, no matter who posted them.  I can go into your stuff and share your submissions and journals on my Twitter or Facebook.  I don't feel right about allowing other people to share links to my stuff on all these other sites.

I don't know.  Maybe I'm just a little over-protective. :o

Sweet! Nothing left to test eh? How about a 'share user' option as well? The same icons, but maybe under the "Support this artist" text on our pages. Then again, our profile URLs aren't exactly long ^^;

Anyhow! Another great development! How cool, hip and trendy do you feel now?! ;D lol
