Because of an increase of commissioner fraud, I am implementing some new rules:
If the commission is under $50, I ask for all the payment up front. Otherwise it will be 50% up front. Then the rest of the commission will be paid off at flat colouring, shading, and detail stages.
The first two pose sketches are free. If you spot something that needs changed, tell me. I am willing to do the sketch over again. Each additional sketch is $15* (unless it is minor changes like expression or limb position - this charge only applies to a completely fresh sketch). *This is price from my base charge for a sketch commission.
Changes past the sketch stage:
The first minor change(expression, colour) to an image is free. Anything past that will be $10* per session. So if you spot something that needs changed, make sure you spot EVERYTHING that needs changed up front as I charge by each session of fixing. *Changes of this quality get repetitive and take up time. If I'm doing more than three minor changes, chances are the sessions are adding up past an hour. My work usually comes out at about $10 - $12 per hour.
The first major (position, posture) change is $20*. Each major change past that is $5 more each time ($25, $30, $35)**. Again, if you spot something that needs changed, tell me up front and be clear. *Changes of this quality will take me a half hour or more. I'm being unreasonably kind with this charge. **Let's face it, if you want me to keep changing a complete pose of a character, you might as well be asking me for a new commission. Refunds: Refunds are on a customer-to-customer basis and scaled on how much work is completed. If I have gotten to a flat-colouring stage (approximately 3 hours of work), I expect at least that level of work in compensation. I and the customer will work out refunds on fair terms.
I do accept refunds if: I was given a deadline and did not meet it (exception is severe illness, deadline fees will be refunded in this case) I have not yet produced a sketch within 45 days You are not satisfied with the product at beginning stages of work (before fine details / shading)
I do not accept refunds if: You suddenly need money You decide to commission somebody different You wish to change the commission details in full I have made obvious progress, but am producing slowly I have become ill or injured and need time to recover
Privacy: Customer request and privacy is key with me. I do not give out any personal information. I accept any privacy and no-upload requests.
Futhermore:
I am sorry to change process on my commissioners, who with I was once very lenient. I've seen an increase of commissioners running off with free, detailed sketches, or asking for sketches to see if they want an artist's work.
I have had that happen to me several times in the past, and once again recently.
These rules are to protect myself from losing money. I apologize if that sounds selfish.

Print policy
If you absolutely do not want prints of commissions you have done by me, let me know and I will not make reproductions for sale.
This list is for those who do NOT want reproductions made for sale. DO NOT answer if you're OK with it.
Prints are usually sold for $2.50 - $5 and never exceed the original commission price. Commissions older than 6 months to a year have less of a chance of being used.
