Sorry about it to those who are watching me. I've sorta hit a rather big moment of art block recently. It's annoying and frustrating as hell. I'm trying to get over it and try to get back to drawing again but can't seem to get myself into it.
I've heard others tips and advice for how to get rid of art block but none seems to be working for me at the moment.
There is one piece I did that semi helped but didn't cure much. It was a piece I did for IntroIntroduction over on Reddit of his crocodile character Magra. I was bored and wanting to play around some with more of the tools in Krita... That and I hadn't drawn a crocodile character before.
That's another thing... I'm thinking part of the reason for this art block is because I made a rather big step in switching to Krita. Krita isn't hard to work with by any means. But learning to use it has been a troublesome pain in my rear.
Nice thing that made me consider it over Easy Paint Tool SAI is that it has a ton of brushes from the start and some easy to install brushes thanks to David Revoy.
Only major annoyance with Krita on windows anyway is that the stupid thing screws up my erasers so they don't erase properly. So I got to save what I was working on and shut down krita and then bring it back up to have my eraser work like it should.
I wouldn't mind working with Easy Paint Tool SAI but it's brush options are extremely limited out of the box and any other brushes you have to make or get from others. And despite going over peoples instructions on how to install and make the proper brushes. It hasn't gone well either. the application simply refuses to recognize or see those bmp files...
Maybe it's a fault on my end? I dunno. I just never had this problem when installing Brushes into GIMP or Krita. It was rather quick and very straight forward where as with Easy Paint Tool SAI it isn't.
Like I said it's probably because I'm doing something wrong.
But none of that helps with this damn art block and makes it even harder.
Sorry for my rant. I know not everyone faces art block the same way... And I'm not the type of person to post in a journal about problems I'm having but this is one of those rare occasions. Usually if I got a problem I keep it to myself or make a post to others on reddit.
Oh well. I'll figure something out for this artblock.
