As someone who wanted to be a radio announcer as a kid, it was because of Gary Owens-- He was my idol!
Last night, I was thinking of great voices, lamenting last Year's passing of Don Pardo, and was thinking that I hadn't heard from Gary Oerns in a while, then forgot to check Wikipedia... Little did I know of his passing until now... :(
He will be deeply missed, here in beautiful downtown....Eureka.

I think they should bring back old radio shows and plays. They were something to listen to. Even now they would be fun. But I guess that would cost to much and get so little.
