hey there

Hey all you lovely people, I wish I could stay in touch better, but energy levels and internet access have the veto. New watchers! Makes me happy to see you're interested, hope you enjoy some of the art I post ^-^

So I understand there's a national Coming-Out day now. Do you think an official day can be a little push for someone who wants to come out but hesitates chiefly because "it never comes up"? I'm curious what you think.

EDIT:
I like ladies and all their magical angles and curves a lot, but honestly I don't even like to pin down a title, it's not an identity thing to me... :p it's not really static either.

I think maybe if you start out just picturing one way of having a healthy relationship VS everything-else-that-automatically-is-wrong or doesn't even get recognized as existent, then putting words on less normalized feelings and relationship preferences and whatnot can be a starting step toward having them recognized as a society-supported alternative... but I wish we in the future can do away with the boxes altogether.

Hmm, I don't think a 'Coming-Out Day' is a good idea, it just seems like one of those lame things that people are coming up with randomly nowadays... like 'Hump-Day' and stupid crap like that. If a gay person wants to come out, they can do it when they choose, they don't need some stupid 'designated day' to come out. That's just my opinion though, and I'm one of those people who's always seen my sexuality as my business, and that if I want to tell someone, I will, and if I don't want to tell someone, I won't lol XD

I guess I just don't understand why some people have the 'need' to blurt out their sexuality to someone IRL, since all it does is sort of invite judgement from people, outside of sites like this where it's the norm. But everyone is different, and have different ways of seeing things, so I'm sure there are some people who would find a use for 'Coming-Out' day... it's just that I, personally, can't see any reason as to why it would even be needed.

For that kind of scenario, I find that usually it's more of a thing that comes up when it needs to. Labels are so restrictive, I find. They close so many doors. =)
