Not too long ago I decided to create a Patreon page in order to make my art career a more stable job in face of things like moving and the responsibility of driving. Things have been going really well so far and through the efforts of me and my fiancee we've been able to keep things interactive and offer cool prizes to patrons of different tiers!
For those not in the know Patreon is a crowd sourcing site like kickstarter but instead of hitting one goal and being done with it you show your support with contributions either monthly or for every submission the creator gives. I've opted for the monthly one!
-Individual Rewards- Any contribution will get you a spot on the contributor's page of my tumblr. $5/mo will let you add a personal site link to your name on said page $10/mo will get you all the above and a chibi of any character you wish $15/mo gives all the above and lets you make warmup sketch suggestions in streams once we hit our next goal of $100/month total And then finally $20 a month will get you all that and a copy of your stream sketch idea if it's randomly chosen.
-Overall Goals- And besides just offering these rewards based on how much you contribute there are overall goals that are based on total contribution. I've already hit $50 a month total which means that all contributors will get raffle ticket numbers and at the beginning of each month I'll use a random number generator to pick one winner who will get a free colored sketch.
I also hope to give bigger rewards as my income increases such as weekly livestreams at $100 a month, and two raffle tickets being drawn at $125 a month.
Drawing means a lot to me and having the opportunity to use my passion to help take care of the bills means I can continue to grow and flourish as an artist while still making sure things are taken care of.
