???? uh I read that wrong

I just Fully read the note from IB support and misread what they need. So now I ask everyone, are there people out there that have 3d models they created and want to see them in action, please let me in on it and share them with me. I have a talent of stop-go animation, and you would be able to see your 3d created model come to life at the hands of the puppet master of IB and only IB. I am no longer puting up with FA, they did the same to me but was very rude about it. IB actually wrot to me and told me everything in a polite manner, and I apologize to IB for my recent Journal entry, I was just upset.

So no more Argonians or Digimon? Aww! I hope that people will let you use their models, or that you have some custom created models! It would suck if you couldn't post anything!

The models have to be original; the characters do not, though they are subject to our restrictions on fan art, and in theory could be removed on request from the owners.

Our basic issue is the reuse of copyrighted work without the permission of its original creator, just as in any other medium. We appreciate it is hard to create 3D models (or to find one available for reuse), but it's hard to make original sculpture and the like as well.

I do understand a lot whats going on about this situation, but my question is when you draw a halo character in a sexual posistion, or a Argonian like wise, would you still need the 343 or Bethesdas permission to make it in that manner, as I see it, Models created in 3ds Max are the artist rendering of say an eite from halo. As for persmission, https://www.furaffinity.net/user/corvidius made the models you see in my animations. The argonians, the elite, Kahjiite, and a few other models belong to him I asked permission to have and use them, and was granted to do so. My big question is would I be able to post those models?

On his user page, Corvidius says that "I do not create the models themselves. I just port/convert and enhance them over from other games." In other words, he has created a derived work from someone else's copyrighted material.

Where he has gone wrong is saying "The assets in my pictures/videos are free to use by anyone who asks!" In fact, he can only say that for his own contributions. He does not own the original model. What he said seems roughly equivalent to "I took a PNG that someone else made and turned it into a JPG, maybe adding a few effects. You can use it for free!" This is not quite how copyright works. :-)

You need to find modellers who create original models, not derived directly from the work of others; or if they do use the work of others, then that work must be from a source which grants similar permissions.

They are, but our reasoning is that just as you should not just draw someone else's character without their permission, you should not model it doing something either. This is separate from the above copyright issue, and would depend on how distinctive the character was. Obviously they do not own "all scaly things that look like what they call Argonians"; but if you made one that was exactly like Quill-Weave, they might claim that you were using their character.

To date the only people to bring a claim under this provision have been members of the fandom, and we do not require advance permission for such fan works.

Oh ok then I must have missed that, well I appreciate the response, and I guess I'll have to get with other users about their personal models.
